Due to the Joplin tornado on May 22, 2011 I lost my home, about half of my belongings, and my job. Then four weeks later I was in a car accident caused by a semi running a red light. Some days it's a struggle to remain positive but the community is working hard to rebuild and the generosity of the volunteers is incredible!!! I don't know what we would do without them.
UPDATE: Lost what was left of the house to a fire last week.

Mennonite Disaster Service; Red Cross; Salvation Army, Humane Society for their animal resue efforts; and all the churches who opened their doors to the truckloads of donated items so that they could be distributed to those in need, AND ESPECIALLY THE VOLUNTEERS who have come from all over the country to help.
