I am Jane, just returned to part time teaching after two years of retirement.  I have taught for 43 years - high school English language and literature in Jamaica and (for 14 years) in the UK.  I have lived most of my life in Jamaica. I have been married (and divorced) twice and am currently happy living on my own, though sometimes I feel I would like to share the rest of my life with a special someone. 

I had two children.  My son was killed six and a half years ago and my daughter lives at the other end of the island.  She has 6 children and my son's two children live in Detroit.  I don't see them often enough. 

I am interested in drama -- writing plays, directing, acting and I write and perform my poetry. My first full length play, 'White Witch', was performed last year and was received with great acclaim and 13 of our Actor Boy Awards - mostly due to an exceptional cast, director and the specially composed music and songs created by a dear friend.

I have a reputation for always being happy and able to laugh at most things and am extremely independent. I try to keep busy and banish the loneliness that sometimes takes over.
