I'm one of those over educated guys who stayed aloof from the money establishment. Linda, my wife, firmly grounded me in reality, and I've been gainfully employed ever since. Along the way, I voracously devoured any knowledge that stepped into my path, and still do to this day. I took up wargaming 30 years ago, when my friend Jon introduced me to it after I got him into my comic collecting hobby. Over the years, I became a serious history buff, along with my deep background in literature and phillosophy. My wargaming hobby spawned a diversity of interests; fantasy gaming, miniatures painting, and more literature to devour. I read more books in my first 15 years than many people read in a lifetime--and I still read when my eyes don't bother me too much. My comic collecting generated interest in specific titles. I'm probably one of the only collectors in the country who has all of Rex the Wonder Dog. Quite by accident, I ended up being the midwest supercollector of Wonder Woman. I accomplished a life's goal of meeting Lynda Carter last year. There are many others--some I've done, others not yet.
