More about me

I'm an intelligent ENFJ who makes an effort to "surrender to what is". I have no expectations and I don't make judgments about the choices others make. I want to enjoy every moment, see others as who they really are and not try to change them, connect on a level that others find stimulating and emotionally intimate, learn from a diversity of experience, and be with people with joy and compassion.

Most important to me are my connections and relations with people. The activities that I enjoy that are associated with people are teaching, listening, providing clarity and insight, guiding and mentoring, advising, and being compassionate and a model father and friend.

Also important to me is what I know, including spiritual teachings, neuroscience (neuropharmacology, psychology, cognitive neuroscience, and consciousness), biology (molecular biology, biochemistry, physiology, and genetics), information technology (internet, productivity software, languages, etc.), project management, history (world, ancient and American), international culture, communication techniques (Nonviolent Communication and Difficult Conversations), and business (economics, finance, marketing, intellectual property, academic-industry relationships, and strategic planning). The primary activities that I enjoy that are associated with these ideas are learning, teaching, advising, and serving as an expert.

I am presently in a major transition in my life. In addition to getting separated in September 2007, I will definitely be in a different job situation in a few months. I don't know where I'll end up. I have hopes of being nearer to my son in Sacramento, preferably in San Francisco or maybe San Diego, where I adore the weather, though it is entirely possible I'll be in Boston as well. I am interested in meeting new friends from English speaking countries, Latin America, Brazil, Italy, Greece and Asia, particularly China and India.
