Another year older and deeper in debt. I'm about to turn 63. Do you think the world will end before I'm eligible for Medicare? I just changed my user name to JerseyDevil48, because I can. My nearest and dearest uses this name when he does speak of me. And here I always thought I was so sweet!

I live in a senior community but I don't really feel like a senior yet. In some ways I'm only a freshman. I guess that I'm retired now; I'm just not sure how I'm going to spend my retirement.

I went to college in Ohio during the Kent State period and didn't have a graduation ceremony because all state universities closed down early that year. We had ideals in those days. Living in this crazy world, it's hard to remain idealistic. I always say a cynic is just an idealist gone sour.
