Born and raised in Decatur IL, married in 1957 and moved to Pecatonica with hubby to dairy farm there for ten years. Three kids later we moved to Lebanon Oregon and am now single, retired and living in Salem OR. Oldest daughter lives near me after she retired from 20 years in the Marine Corps and now works for state of OR. Son was killed in motorcycle accident in 2006 and his two children live in Hobbs NM. Youngest daughter copes with her mental illness and lives an hour's drive from me in Corvallis.

I went back to college as a 50+year old and what a challenge to get the cobwebs out of the brain. Graduated with BS, created with new boss the position of Benefits Specialist at local hospital where I retired 13 years later. Now enjoying retirement with quilting, music, swimming, gardening, traveling, reading with trips to the coast occasionally for R&R. I'm also a "ding-a-ling" ringing English handbells in two bell choirs through my church.

Most any music except rap and hard rock. Prefer big band, dixieland jazz, blues, ballads.

Pretty Woman and most any with Julia Roberts; tend to see ones with favorite actors than movie subject, like Paul Newman, Densel Washington, Matt Damon, Cary Grant - like the stars of long ago

Like authors rather than a specific book: Janet Evanovich, Catherine Anderson, G.M. Ford, James Patterson, Sharon Sala, and Diana Gabaldon among my favorites.
