Places I've been
I did graduate work at the University of Leeds in England, and I've been to England more than any other country; somehow, I feel very at home there. I love to hike and camp, have hiked/backpacked in the Smokies many times, also the Colorado, Montana, and Canadian Rockies, the Cascades, and the Olympic Peninsula. In my next life I'm going to live in Italy, eat bread and gelato, drink coffee and red wine, and be blissfully fat and happy. I've been to Africa, Peru, and Ecuador, and I'm seriously thinking about a trip to Nepal in March.
More about me

I am the Eons Expert in the Gardening group. I retired from teaching, completed two certificates at the School of the Chicago Botanic Garden, and own Rinda West Designs. I volunteer with the North Branch Restoration Project and am on the board of the Midwest Ecological Landscaping Assoc. and the local Landscape Design Association.  I wrote a book about ways to think about changing attitudes towards the human relationship to nature.  It's called "Out of the Shadow: Ecopsychology, Stories, and Encounters with the Land," and it has just been published by University of Virginia Press.
