I'm 54, a divorced mom of three.  I live in the suburbs but grew up in and still consider Boston to be home.  I live just 20 minutes outside of Boston. I work full-time in the tech industry, and am enjoying having more time to socialize and volunteer since the kids are not really 'kids' any more. Life is good!
