Places I've been
I moved from Corpus Christi in 1969 to Brownwood TX, then to Weatherford TX in 1983, back to Brownwood in 1991, then to various place from 1994 to present...Cherokee TX, Saudi Arabia, Weatherford, San Angelo TX, Weatherford and finally to Round Rock in 2003. My favorite place to live is Weatherford, but my kids are here...and who would bug them everyday if I were not here, teehee!
More about me
I am a single woman and live in RR TX. I have one grown son who is married, and two beautiful granddaughters. I am medically retired due to RA since 1991 and moved here 4 years ago to be near my kids who live in the area. My two brothers have recently moved to Temple so I am hoping that I will have some camping buddies. I also have two sisters.
Activities
I spent most of my out of house time at the kids...love watching my granddaughters grow up...which is happening too fast. I love to cook and always on a diet, I work crosswords everyday and pretty well have the TV on nonstop for the first time in my life. I love camping and raised doing it...so hoping that my family and I can get back in the habit of camping. I also love amusement/water parks. I love to read but have to be in the mood and do it in spurts.
Favorite Music
My favorite music is country music. I will listen to most music and like lots of it but refer country, especially the old stuff. No rap or hip hop for me though. My favorite songs are: Sounds of Silence, Old Flame, City Lights, Town without Pity, He Stopped Loving Her Today, Hello Darling...get the drift, all the golden oldies.
Favorite TV Shows
I love Seinfeld reruns...and try not to miss them. My new favorites are Ghost Whisperer and Moonlight...along with all the CSI's and Criminal Minds...hum...........wonder what that says about me. Also like some of the light hearted sitcoms.
Favorite Movies
My favorite movies are: Out of Africa, Walk the Line, Funny Girl, Pirates of the Caribbean...several more. I don't go to movies often as I don't like sitting still that long. I liked to drive inns because I would watch a movie from the concession stand where I had the freedom to pace back and forth...they frown on that at a theater.
Favorite Books
My favorite books are: The Grapes of Wrath, East of Eden, Sophie's Choice, Main Street and Sonya
Favorite People
My kids and family and friends.
Favorite Places
Port A, Garner Park, Six Flags, Hurricane Harbor, Chalk Bluff and road side parks.
Favorite Animals
Cats.................I have two female cats, Mattie and Baylee. Just got Baylee a few months ago and she is a holy terror! But I love them both...they keep me from getting lonely.
