Most of the places out of the country have been in the last 10 years. I've been fortunate to see the sights and meet the people in Puerto Rico(still in the country I know), China, from Hong Kong to Shanghai and Beijing and across the country to Tibet to spend a week in spirituality. Turkey during Ramadan was particularly interesting. We followed the footsteps of Alexander from city to city and to the tops of mountains where he was repelled by the inhabitants. I've seen Italy from Sicily to Como and Trento on several visits and now speak a fair Italian. Amsterdam was a must see for the city planner in me and Paris far friendlier than advertised. We've spent weeks in Ireland, Spain,The Chezk Republic, and Hungary,and have visited Londen, Belgium, and Austria. I fish for Bonefish every year in Mexico's Ascension Bay, the Bahamas or Belize. I would be happy to elaborate if some place in particular interests you. I live in Denver and have been here since 1967 , when I graduated from KU as an architect. My wife and I have lived in the same house for the last 30 years, but have remodeled it or added to it extensively at least four times.

Hi, I'm a retired architect, I have two grown children and a wife of 35 years that I adore.  My retirement lasted less than six months, shortly after I sent my first book to the publisher.  Now I have a new business, I'm calling "Sidekick Homes".  I'll explain if anyone is interested, or go to <http://web.mac.com/mkephart1> to see how I'm building little houses in backyards.

Backpacking consumes my summers, fishing is part of that as I love the high mountain lakes. I write when I can and read, but don't find the time now. I work out with weights for my health, and play handball for fun.

Anything that will help people with their housing problems. Habitat for humanity is hard to beat, but I support groups that provide affordable housing choices as well.

Bluegrass, the blues, and anything my son plays. I enjoy classical orchestras and especially the violinists, but when alone I enjoy the silence too, like now.

Boston legal with William Shatner, Monk, and any of the law and order group but they are wearing thin on me.

Since I see them all that's a tough question. Romance and Cigarettes made a lasting impression on me recently, Crash . of last year was great, and I am Legend was the best of the zombie genre this year but one last year made in England was even better.

Wallace stegner's Shooting Star is at the top of my list, but I love all his novels and some of his historical works. Anne Lamot's Traveling Mercies is a favorite as is her writing book, Bird by Bird. She has taught me much about life, and humor.

I'm not into quotes too much, but always return to Winston Churchill, Mark Twain or Will Rogers when I need an appropriate quote.

Bob Newhart, George Clooney, Anne Lamot, Madonna, Bob Dylan, Mick Jager, my grandeson, my son and my daughter, my wife is the most transparent person in the world and I love her for what she teaches me about honesty and faith.

The Rocky Mountains, the Appalacians, any wilderness area or wild place with few or no people. I also like small towns with personality, Parks full of active people, the handball courts on a Saturday morning, the movies and my courtyard.

Tigers have always struck me with awe, fear and respect, but I am absolutely joyful to see any large animal wild in the woods. Bears, which I've encountered have earned greater respect recently and I hope one day to see a wild Cougar running free in the mountains.
