Places I've been
I lived in Almena, WI for the first 18 years of my life and my heart is still there. I am 68 and I still call it home. I have a sister living in Range, WI working in the hospital in Amery, WI and a brother and his wife who live in Barron, WI.
More about me

I was born and raised on a dairy farm in Central WI and at the ripe old age of 18 came to St. Paul, MN to find a job.  Well found the job and then a husband and then children.  WI is still where I call home after living here for 40+ years.  I started working in an office and slowly over the years had picked up enough credits to earn a degree in Business.  I stayed home and raised our five children until the youngest was in school full time.  While I was home for those 12 years I taught myself how to sew knit shirts for the kids when they were small and I also taught myself how to sew undergarments with all the lace (so popular in the 60's and 70's).  After I went back to work full time I did not have time for sewing, so put it aside for several years and just in the last two years have picked it up again.  I really enjoy the sewing and especially trying to get the hang of my serger.  Along the way I opened up a ceramic shop, took classes on pouring, finishing, firing, and teaching.  I gave classes for approximately 5 years then decided to close the shop and am still trying to get rid of 300+ molds.  Know anyone who maybe interested????  My oldest daughter is a teacher, my second daughter is a nurse and my youngest son does deliveries for a canteen company.  My oldest son was killed in a car accident three years ago November 13th.  He was a union carpenter and is dearly missed by our family.  Him and I did many things together and so there are many great memories but there will always be a empty spot in our lives.  Enough! Enough!  Life goes on!  I have 7 grand children ranging in age from 20 to 3.  Two girls ages 5 and 3.  Five boys 20, 12, 10, 8 and 5.  What a crew it is really fun to spend time with them and have them for sleep overs.  My husband and I are both retired, I should say he's retired and I still work on and off part time, it's nice to keep in touch with the outside world.  I do volunteer work at my church, nursing home and help serve meals at a homeless shelter.  If I think of anything else I will add on later.
