Hello there...thanks for stopping by! I enjoy EONs, the different sites and the wide range of people and opinions here. Sometimes funny, other times disturbing, but almost always informative and thought provoking.

I worked for over 30 years as a nurse but took an early retirement because of Multiple Sclerosis. So I'm in the process of adapting my life to a new rhythm, sleeping until I wake (no alarm clock!) and greeting the day with the best attitude I can come up with. I work in my garden, hang out with grandkids, take a short walk or two, do Qigong, visit friends, read a lot....you get the picture! Not exactly how I planned my life but by now we all know how life throws us a real good curve now and then.

I've been single since 2004 when my husband of 25 years died. I do miss having a man in my life but have learned well how to live happily by myself. Who knows what the future may bring?

Grew up in San Francisco and danced to Grateful Dead music in Golden Gate Park. Lived for a bit in New Mexico with a bunch of other hippies and did my share of alternative activities. Having children changed a lot of that but I'm still a reasonable liberal at heart. 

I did some phone banking this past summer and fall for the Obama campaign. I am overjoyed with America's choice! At last we have someone in the WH who is smart, a good listener, and knows what he doesn't know!

To sum me up, you could say I come from the line of "My cup is half full" belief. Attitude is all....well, at least most of the time it is!
