Places I've been
I have traveled to all but one continent and visted all but 2 states in the USA. We will probably retire in Vermont as the job oportunities have given up "elder year" options. Places I have lived: In VT - Randolph, Pownal, Burlington and Rutland; Burlington; Hanover, NH; Meredith, NH; Denver, CO (area), Reno, NV. Trying to speak to the places that have been important is difficult. There were so many places where moving and divine transforming events occurred that not only shaped me, but I was fortunate to witness others also changed.

More about me

I have been trained as an educator, counselor, and scientist but after a published mini-biography of me labled me as a mystic I began to reidentify myself.  It was only after several more years of intense searching that I began to see myself as a modern mystic - and have some sense of what that meant. But I also know that such a term is just a "label" and one the doesn't fit well into today's culture.

My current work, and life, is dedicated to understanding and teaching the development of compassion. Getting to the point where I could put most of of a full week's efforts in this direction has taken me the better part of 25 years.     Throughout history the lives of mystics have been difficult. It is not an easy path, but I wouldn't change anything I have experienced. I have been fortunate to be part of many peoples movement from suffering into a sacred sense of well being. This is facilitated within a radiant compassionate space that has direct and observable effects.  The more I share this space the more I am continually changed. This idea of "passing it on", and that compassion can be expanded, is also what I attempt to share with others.  I guess it has "become me".

I have two wonderful adult children and a wife who has been with me since 1971. There is also deep gratitude for the gifts and the happiness in my life.  I greatly enjoy being creative, deeply spiritual and radiantly compassionate, and I am thankful for all opportunities to share these.  I am humbly grateful to God for my life in a way that brings tears.

Below is a link to a research survey on compassion. Please take the time to complete it and then pass it on to others.
