More about me

I have lived my whole life in Savannah, Georgia.  My husband and both of my sons all graduated from Jenkins High School (my sons a couple of decades later, of course).

I graduated from the local college, Armstrong State University, with a bachelor's degree in elementary education. I began teaching in the spring of 1977 and got married a few weeks later. My husband and I have 2 sons, ages 27 and 23. We have been happily married for 30 years.

In 1996, I graduated from Georgia Southern University with a master's degree in middle grades education. I immediately started work on my doctorate degree, but when my father became sick before he died, and I became principal of a small private school, I put the doctorate on hold. Eight years later, it is still on hold.

I have left the school system and tutor privately now. My younger son and his wife presented us with a grandson 2 years ago. He is the focus and light of my life now. The only problem is that they live in Arizona. I would love to be able to pick him up to spend weekends with me, but maybe someday. They hope to return to the east coast in the next 2-3 years.
