born and raised outside Chicago

 Hello all , I am Dave, a 57 year old divorced male (20+yrs.). I was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago.

 I currently live just outside Atlanta, Ga.,I have been down here just over 5 yrs. and love it, especially the winters as the golf courses are empty, not like Chicago, where if the temp is in the 40's and not much snow on the ground they are full. 

 I live by myself in a nice 3 bedroom house that I can never find extra room in (how do you spell "packrat"). I am a guest of my cat, Callie, a calico mix I got at a shelter last September.

 I had a small ( 1 truck) trucking co. in Illinois for 28 years, but have found a streak of creativity in me that I didn't know existed. I spend most of my time creating one of a kind gemstone jewelry.

 I got started late in life with this creativity thing,it all started by me making a necklace for myself, and then just kinda went wild.

 I try to do at least 2 craft shows a month, and have just recently tried selling online

 I am having moderate success, but I really need to figure out how to do a website and blog to try and get my work some exposure.

Lately I have been spending most of my time with my new Beading supply shop on Etsy--Windspirit- http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5474349. I have been having great success with that. 

 My life took a dramtic and positive change 5 1/2 years ago when I became sober( who would've thunk it ). I so much envy those that are able to cast aside thier demons at an early age, but by finding a relationship with God I have finally come to accept life on life's terms. Each day now given me is a blessing.

 At this point in my life I am not really looking for a life partner, or any type of intimate relationship. I am resigned to the fact that I am extremely set in my ways. I am  however open to fun bantering, chatting, being of service, or simply being there. I am a warm , fun, guy, who is open to others.
