More about me

I am a Steel Magnolia having lived in a small town in the state of Georgia most of my life.  Everything I knew about life when growing up, I learned at the First Baptist Church or the local theater.  This was in the 1940's and I married young and had three children.  My 23 year first marriage ended in a divorce.  He found someone he liked better than me.  Although I grieved at the time, I pulled myself together and moved to Atlanta.  Two years later I found someone I liked a heck of a lot better than my first husband.  We were married 28 years and he passed away three years ago.  In addition to my three children, I have three step-daughters, 6 grandchildren and 3 step-grandchildren.  Last year I became a great grandmother and it is really GREAT!  A beautiful little boy named Will and his grandfather.  Two years ago, I decided to "go home again." and moved back to my little home town.  I was away for over 30 years.  It's been fun seeing old friends and watching my two grandsons play football, baseball and dress up in Tuxedoes for the prom.

I am a member of Unity of Athens Church and enjoy my church friends very much.

I am studying Spanish,  I volunteer at the hospital, play bridge, go to 2 book clubs and have started visiting and plan to visit every state park in the state of Georgia.  I also continue to work one or two days a week in my Stepdaughter's business.  Not bad for a 76 year old.
