I've lived in Michigan and Missouri. We have family and visit often in Montana, Oregon and Washington. I've visited every state except Florida, Hawaii and Alaska.

I grew up on a farm in Michigan and studied nursing after high school. I worked in hospitals in Michigan and Missouri, went back to school, became a geriatric nurse practitioner and now I am retired from teaching in the masters nursing program at Michigan State University for 12 years. My major teaching area was gerontology and my research centered on Alzheimer's Disease. Married for 45 years. Three daughters, five grandchildren. I love to read, travel, photograph the world around me, do genealogy, camp, hike, fish, garden and do anything else that allows me to spend time outdoors. I am a passionate follower of the Michigan State University basketball teams (both mens and womens). Basically I am a happy person who would rather invest energy in smiling than in frowning.
