Hi, I'm a 52 year old woman holding on to the ending edge of the babyboomers. I'm a new resident in this Las Vegas area. I love fun, family and the outdoors. Life is always full of surprises, twists and turns and mine has not been exempt from any of those. I love spending time out of doors camping, hiking or working in the yard. I also enjoy crafts, especially jewelry making and sewing to make gifts for my friends. I am a hard worker, sometimes to the extreme although I am trying to give myself more ME time. I love spending time with my spouse of almost 30 years who is at the leading edge of the babyboomers. We love going out together to a fun show here in the Las Vegas area or enjoying a warm, peaceful evening with glass of wine on our deck viewing the lights of the strip. I look forward to hearing from anyone who loves life and wants to make a new friend!

Activities
I enjoy traveling, camping, hiking, working in the yard and spending time with family. My hobbies include sewing, beading and cooking with my son.
Favorite Charities
My church, the local food shelter and World Vision which helps provide education, medicine, food and clothing to underpriviledged children around the world. I sponsor a 9 yr old boy in Guatemala. I love receiving pictures from him knowing that I am contributing to his well-being.
Favorite Music
ROCK!, especially 60's-80's, but I also listen to today's mix. I enjoy Nickleback, Bon Jovi, Beetles, Led Zepplin, Stones, Pink Floyd and on and on! I also can be found listening to smooth Jazz for a change of pace as well as classical, but please no country, except for old-school, ie. Johnny Cash, Kenny Rodgers, Charlie Rich, etc.
Favorite TV Shows
I love the detective shows, ie. Law and Order, Cold Case. Also, I catch some reality shows and have been hooked on American Idol, America's Got Talent and Hell's Kitchen.
Favorite Movies
My favorite movie has got to be The Day the Earth Stood Still. It still gives me chills when Patricia Neal must face the robot and give the message, "Klaatu, barada nikto"! Michael Rene did not make enough films. And of course, I love Gone With the Wind, The Wizard of Oz, Chicago, and all of the Pirates of the Carribean. Oh well, let's face it, pretty much everything with Johnny Depp!!!! He's HOT!
Favorite Books
I try to read a few books a year but don't always find the time. I enjoy scifi, horror and vampire stories. I am a Steven King and Anne Rice fan.

Favorite People
My husband, son and everyone in my family. Does my shih tzu count; he thinks he is people! As well, my grandpuppy, who thinks I'm the greatest. She is a Shi-poo (Shih tsu/poodle mix)-the best of both.
Favorite Places
Zion National Park is the most beautiful and serene place. I love the ambiance of Monterey, CA with its mix of the eclectic. And Bodega Bay, CA is the best when the fog is just lifting!
Favorite Animals
I love dogs! We have been blessed by our Shih tzus. They are great companions. Also love bird watching in the springtime.
