Love to paint Nature: land-, sea-, sky-scapes. Most beautiful part of Nature, however, is a nude female, my other subject matter.
OTHERWISE:
Grew up during the Depression & WW2, received a BA cum laude in Classical Languages (8 yrs Latin, 2 Greek), officer in Naval Reserve (3 yrs at sea, 2 on shore duty, Italy), MA in English & Comparative Lit on Woodrow Wilson fellowship, teaching English in Univ & going part-time for PhD in Renaissance Comp Lit (Fr, Ital, Eng), then Assistant Prof of Comp Lit at Queens C (City Univ of NY) but didn't publish, so 4 years in Maine college. School started failing so went to work as Tech Writer for the Navy and later Systems Analyst, and continued teaching part-time. Retired from work 1993 and from teaching 2003. Now-enjoying art full time.
