Places I've been
I do not travel much and enjoy our home town. My life is fairly simple. I have lived here all my life. I have been to Florida once to visit my sister-in-law who had moved there with her husband to start his own construction business. I have been to the Pittsburgh zoo.I have been to several cities in Ohio including Columbus, Marysville (my daughter and her husband live there), Cleveland, Marietta. I love Zanesville, but there is admittedly not much here as far as industry goes. The people are friendly and my family are all from here.(I have 4 brothers and 3 sisters). I would like to go to Italy and France or even Hawaii...My brother Joe lives in Alaska, does that count? lol I have 5 grown children, 3 girls and 2 boys altogether. I have 4 grandchildren.

I have 5 grown children and 4 grandchildren. They are the most important in my life. I am a manager in the restaurant business.  I like to read, watch movies and tv (mostly comedies, but I like "House", and mysteries) I love cooking, but love to bake. I like to walk, garden (in a miniscule kinda way), and find interesting shops, or discover some out of the way place that is unique. I am devoted, sincere, respectful, loyal, kind, and easily entertained (get the biggest charge from everyday happenings).  I am optimistic almost always, I always see the good in most situations and in people.
Activities
Walking, Listening to books on CD, some gardening, Cooking (baking is my favorite), playing Scrabbleblast on here as well as Poppit, and Book Worm, I like the word games

Oldies like the Association, Righteous Bros., Rolling Stones, Four Seasons, Beach Boys, Mamas and the Papas, Hollies, Simon and Garfunkle, The Beatles are my favorite!! Some Country Western, almost all music except rap, & blues. I like classical. Some of the newer artists pieces that have a melody, a point, or some artistic merit. I have discovered some very beautiful music. Acoustic guitar pieces are so fine to listen to.

Favorite Movies
I like comedies...Planes, Trains, and Automobiles, Throw Momma From The Train, Captain Ron, Duplex, Billy Madison, Over Board, War Of The Roses, Napoleon Dynamite, Ferris Bueller's Day Off. I know it's silly, but I like the Harry Potter movies (wish I had read the books), I like a good romantic movie...an older obscure one ...The Man In The Moon...I like older ones like Singing in The Rain, some mysteries, or movies with a plot that keeps you guessing.

Favorite Quotes
There are only two lasting bequests we can give our children. One is roots, the other wings. Some people are like concrete...their minds are all mixed up, and permanently set. We can make a living by what we earn, but a life by what we give. People are lonely because they build walls instead of bridges. Those who bring sunshine to others cannot keep it from themselves. Be careful of the words you say, to keep them soft and sweet. You never know from day to day which ones you may have to eat.

Dogs...I once had a long haired dachsund. We had a German shepherd named George. I think the mutts sometimes found at the shelter are the best. I like birds, but do not know that much about them...they're free, and fly, and some are interesting, and beautiful.
