I'm currently working in the IT department of a VA hospital, but in the past I've done everything from selling camera and photography supplies to board game design (ok, it was only one!) to pizza delivery. I consider myself to be a well-rounded geek; in addition to the computer stuff I've been active in the Baltimore/Washington SF fannish community since the '70s. I love to travel and take photos, watch movies, read, spoil my cats (3), plan my next Halloween party, and putter around the garden. I hope to do more of these things after I retire, which should be somewhere around the time hell freezes over or my lottery investment comes in. Meanwhile, I plan on squeezing as much fun out of life as free time allows.
I don't look on this time as the downhill side of life; it's more like long, exhilarating run down a ski jump with a "yee-hahhhhh!" at the end.
