Places I've been
My teaching career has kept me based in New England for the past thirty five years, but I head to Florida every chance I can! Summer vacation usually means a day trip to Maine to walk the Marginal Way in Ogunquit and eat a lobster roll at Barnacle Billy's. Other trips over the years have been to California and Colorado. When it is time for vacation, I find myself wanting to be near water. My friends consider this funny because I really don't like to be IN the water...I just like looking at it!

Too Much Sun

Well, a 500 character limit here is a little confining ;)

I would say that I am a study in contrasts. I love to stay active, yet, I enjoy spending a lazy day by the ocean. I work with a lot of people (education) and am glad when I can spend some time by myself. I am my happiest when the day is hot and sunny; yet, I burn to a lobster red without sunscreen (see above picture of my feet).

I admire the talents of others and have spent my lifetime trying to appreciate my own.

 

 



Activities
I stay active with a variety of interests. I love fine-dining, cooking, reading novels, watching sunsets, and working with computers.

Mothers Against Drunk Driving, Guiding Eyes, Service Dog Organizations
Favorite Music
The golden oldies are on the top of the list, but I do like a variety of music minus the heavy metal.
Favorite TV Shows
I watch shows that my adult daughter is interested in so that we can discuss them. This includes The Bachelor, American Idol, and Dancing with the Stars. One of my favorite shows is Monk.
Favorite Movies
As pure entertainment, I have to say Pirates of the Caribbean.
Favorite Books
Mysteries are my favorite to read. There are too many favorites for me to list.

Favorite People
No contest...my daughter!
Favorite Places
The gulf coast of Florida, the Vermont mountains, and the Maine seacoast are some of my favorite places. My most favorite place, though, has to be my new home on the eastern coast of Florida!!!
Favorite Animals
Dogs and horses make the top two for this category. Maine coon cats would be on the list if I weren't allergic to cats.
