I was a flowerchild in San Francisco in the 60s and 70s (minus the drugs and free sex!) - still have drive to change the world for the better! (taught my kids to be the same!) I lost my first husband a week after his 47th birthday. (tell them you love them every day!) I have 4 amazing kids, 3 grown, one 15! and 3 grandkids! Just eligible to join the red hat society! I love the commercial where dennis hopper (thanx jack47!) says he doesn't see our generation playing shuffleboard or bingo...Amen to that!
I find that I am going through a time of rebirth... no longer reeling and reacting to what is happening around me, but more aware than ever of the choices I am making, and how they are creating the world around me. I am learning how to think - replacing negative with positive, learning how to envision the world I want to live in, learning how to create the relationships that I want, and how to become the person I have always known I was inside... now she is fully living my life.. (No, I'm not schizo! just empowered!) I am loving life, every day.

"…there could have been no two hearts so open, no tastes so similar, no feelings so in unison, no countenances so beloved. Now they were as strangers; nay, worse than strangers, for they could never become acquainted. It was a perpetual estrangement." Jane Austen, Persuasion 3rd paragraph in Chapter 8 "The value of compassion cannot be over-emphasized. Anyone can criticize. It takes a true believer to be compassionate. No greater burden can be borne by an individual than to know no one cares or understands." Arthur H. Stainback "As the stars swept across the sky, I saw a golden path stretching before me, and I perceived a future in which all humans embraced the earth as a treasured gift." Sarah Andrews, An Eye for Gold
