2nd Child October 27, 1974 - Gerald Champion Hospital, Alamogordo, NM

One and only natural-born son. Oldest son was worried and wanted to know when we were going to adopt his baby brother.

2nd Marriage December 29, 1973 - Juarez, Mexico

Finally, my kind of wedding, to a man who is a "keeper." Married in Juarez, Mexico. Taken to the Judge by an unknown taxi driver who was also the witness to the marriage. Marriage license is in Spanish so I tell people it's really a life insurance policy.

First Child November 3, 1966 -

Adoption. He was 36 hours old when we picked him up from the doctor's clinic.

Church wedding...his choice, not mine. I opted for a JP wedding, but he wouldn't hear of it.

Highschool graduation May 22, 1953 - Tularosa, NM

There were 21 graduates in our class: seven (7) girls, fourteen (14) boys. After all these years, only 1 of the girls and 2 of the boys have passed on. Five of the females live within 25 miles of our old highschool and the other female lives 100 miles away. As of the males, 3 live in their hometown and 5 live out-of-town, 4 are out-of-state. I must research that final male!

Write a Novel

Forty years ago I was told by a literary agent to live twenty years and then write. I've waited twice that length of time, so I guess it's time to start writing on the four stories racing around in my mind to be told.
