  • Music becomes real 2008

Slowly, slowly The umbra of darkness is stealing across my audio landscape. The measure of reality has gone by on the left side but still sits visible on the right. When inner bodily pressure is dense on nerve ends a strange melody occurs to me only. Like a curtain of sorts with many spangles in a rhythmic pattern in brass. They place this kind of sense in the Alzheimer fold.

  • How much physical governs December 3, 2007 - An old photo from Italy.

I want to do what I want to do and my physical well-being at the time has a lot to help or hinder my participation. By physical we can also include the mental as well. Any quarterback will tell you that. Being well-versed in the demands of the undertaking requires mental preparation to control what the body must perform in the rendering of a good result.

  • My date with the Law. November 12, 2002 - Northern Florida

Looks as how so much of my life [so far] has been related to Law. Born in a community where my Dad was a Foot Patrolman it was hard to do anything the least bit out of line. In my High School studies was a course called Commercial Law which was taught very ably by a retired lawyer. I liked that one. After his hitch in the Navy, my younger brother joined a city police force and continued there while rank increased to detective captain at retirement. My days as a federal civil servant were brightened by invitations to serve on petit juries both civil and criminal. Registering to vote in my present locale got me another invite. This time to serve in Federal Grand Jury for a period of fifteen months. Lastly I was cited by a City of Gainesville policeman for a traffic violation wherein he used my I.D. against me while fabricating a story of sorts quoting statutes applicable to any kind of vehicle. I was subject to arrest using those lies against me , a 79 year old fan of the U. of Miami.

  • Church and State - my life contest August 1943

I had an early in life governing factor - Dad was a cop. Had to be an exemplary beacon to the community as to how our family was viewed. Not only that but we were very close to the church life as well. Uncle Sam had to have a say in this also as My turn as a military trainee arrived. When army life ended there was religious service to begin but on an administrative level. Even during the years In college I still kept close to the family church. Over the change in location for life's work it did little to part from these two basic themes. Enter civilian service for the Federal gov and find that recreational outlets kept pace with congregational involvement. The most dependable and secure place to place monetary investment is with the mission of church expansion. The service with the gov has a spin-off for the retirement and physical well-being.
