Oldest son gets married, Bury my sister. November 12, 1995
I am expected to do the most difficult task today, I must go to my sister's funeral. Since my son is getting married today, I have to wear a tuxedo to her funeral. I am sad and embarassed to do this. I miss his wedding,but attend the reception,doing my very best to share in his happiness. Somehow, I get through and the happy couple are beautiful together. He has chosen well!

Lose my oldest sister November 1995
Less than a month ago my mother died unexpectedly,and , even though I know my sister is dying of cancer, I am grieved when the call comes that she is gone. I seem to feel so lost, having lost 2 women of such importance in my life so close together. I think I am doing so well in coping,in the months ahead I will find that I need help. I seek it and become better.

Lose my Mother October 1995
My mother passes away after suffering a massive ceribral hemmorage. She was 80 yrs. old. I will be deeply grieved by this loss for years to come. Though I was 44 yrs. old, I was still her baby boy. Imiss her still as if she just left this morning!

Join the U.S.Army April 15, 1968
A week after I turned 17 yrs. old my parents consented to sign for me to enter the army. The only job I can do at this age is the Airborne, jumping out of airplanes! I have never even flown at this point in life, but I sign up anyway. I take an induction physical at Ft.Wayne in Detroit and fly for the first time to Ky. and Ft. knox for basic training. I never regret this choice !

Think I know it all! 1966
In 1966, I become convinced that I know enough to leave school. At 15, I quit school and begin living for the moment or whatever is in the moment. I come to know all the people that inhabit the night. Pimps, Prostitutes,Drug dealers and on the right side of the law, Police officers and merchants. At this time I hitchhike across the state and spend summer time panhandling on the beaches. Not an exemplary time in my life!

Grandmother passes away 1955
My grandma Crissman passes away from cancer of the throat. I miss her terribly. she lived with us for a year and made many things for my "teddy bear." I'm too young to attend the funeral. Still miss her today!

Bill and Jean have a new bundle of joy. Stork narrowly escapes as Bill is a pretty fair wing shooter!
