About WWAO

This group was formed to showcase the work of senior members of Worldwide Women Artists Online.

We welcome female artists from all over the world who create and sell their own original art. Please note that only the artist is eligible for membership. The presence of third parties goes against our founding ideals, so we do not accept proxy memberships of agents or webmasters. Additionally, members are required to meet certain participation requirements to keep their membership in good standing. These will be outlined in the email the system will send to you. Please apply only if you wish to be an active member of our community. Applicants are voted on by current members after submitting work.

If you think you may be interested in becoming a member of Worldwide Women Artists Online, go to our web page:

Some of us, myself included, use different names and avatars all over the Internet.

So... Your real name and Yahoo i.d. must be listed in Who's Who on our WWAO boards page prior to joining this group. Please let one of the moderators here know exactly who you are by private message.

Please do not reply to this announcement. Post a new thread or message a moderator privately for any concerns you may have.

I will add to this announcement as the need arises.

Thanks,
Linda

Housecleaning

We are a small group here at Eons and not very active.

Regardless, to be a member of this group, it is required that one be a member of Worldwide Women Artists Online.

It is also required that your information about various sites you belong to and nom de 'plumes be listed in Who's Who in our Yahoo database.

I will be checking back on December 5th and will delete members of this group that have not complied.

Thank you,
Linda

Orphan Works widget

Here is the code for a widget for the Orphan Works Act of 2008. You can add it to your profile page if you like. I don't think it's going to be passed before the election because typically few bills are during an election year. However, that doesn't mean we should be lax about it.

new eons old eons

As you may or may not know by now, eons is opening membership to 13+.

I have enjoyed the company of people my age and will leave the group here for our benefit, but will not be as active on Eons as in the past. You all know where I can be found.

Great news!

Eons has given managers and moderators the ability to approve members before they can join.

That means our group can go public and be seen!

Steve Irwin and Ross the Intern

A small anniversary memorial to one who gave a lot. Two big-hearted men, each with an equally big sense of humor meet for the first time.

Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec video

Victim of inbreeding, Toulouse-Lautrec in his short life brought the gaiety and pathos of French cabaret to canvas and print.

This video is accompanied by the frenetic 'Can-Can' that is really Offenbach's Hell's Gallop. Who knew?

Enjoy and be inspired!
