Whether extra income isn't an option...

or wouldn't be enough, consider selling custom-printed promotional advertising to business and industry. You won't just be trading your time for X dollars per your, you'll be creating your business and a new career at the same time.

I discovered my home-based niche nearly 25 years ago, and haven't been a full-time employee for anyone but myself since 1987.

Unlike most other home-based sales, typically health and beauty or nutrition products sold to individuals, promotional advertising is sold in volume to business, industry, non-profit organizations, as well as government buyers. And, many of them may become regular customers. I presently have two customers who have been buying advertising specialties from me for the past 24 years.

Typical orders average between $300 to $1000+ depending on the salesperson and their market. It's easy to see how some can earn an excellent income with just one or two orders per day.

Celebrating 24 years in business...

and being full-time, self-employed for the past 21 years.

In today's economy, I can't imagine being 50+ and an employee waiting for the other shoe to drop. I've seen or heard of so many who were laid-off, down-sized, received a cut in pay/hours, or had to take a lessor position, just to remain on the job/retirement system.

I realize self-employment isn't right for everyone, but I've sure been blessed. My wife has always been the stay-at-home Mom and now stay-at-home Nana, available for our children and grandchildren as the situation arose. Sandy is also my home-office manager, able to assist customers with questions or needs, while I'm out calling on customers and prospects in person.

In case someone just needs some encouragement to take the self-employment plunge, if you've done your research and found a feasible business opportunity, then I say, "Come on in, the water's fine!"

I still celebrate the 4th of July to honor all those men and women who served to protect our country and our freedoms, but enjoy my own indepence after leaving my previous career as an employee.

No business is perfect for everyone!!!

I've read several posts here on Eons.com of people searching for home-based income and wanted to reassure them that there are legitimate work-at-home jobs and business opportunities.

Other than customer service positions, where you take customer calls at your home, there aren't than many "jobs" you can work at home, except where an employer makes that an option for current employees, with some hours required in the office.

You may have better luck if you consider starting your own business. What will work for you depends in part in what skills and work experience you have. Someone who has worked at a travel agency, can set up an agency in their home, continuing to service the same type customers they had in the past.

I started my home-based business nearly 23 years ago, and it has been perfect for my wife and I. I sell promotional advertising to a wide range of business, industry, not-for-profit organizations, as well as government buyers, some online, but mostly off. Selling isn't for everyone, but if it works for you, it is one of the surer ways of generating income from home.

While some in my business sell strictly online or by phone, I actually prefer getting out of the house, and calling on customers at their location - across SW Louisiana, and with the occasion trip to Houston, TX. Although this business is great for us, only the reader knows whether it has potential for them. I do know many have a larger base for potential customers in bigger cities and metro areas as I live in a smaller market, but prospects alone won't make anyone successful.

If anyone has found a business opportunity they feel may be right for them, I have a list of criteria they can use to help them evaluate the potential as well as and downside involved.

If anyone would like to take a closer look at my business, selling custom imprinted ink pens, coffee mugs, stress balls, calendars, embroidered clothing, padfolios, golf balls and accessories, executive gifts, safety awards, and much more, please visit my website -

The risks are minimal, and the capital requirement is zero. Each person chooses how the operate, and what hours they want to work. It is a commission only opportunity, so without sales, there is no income. On the other hand, there is no artificial ceiling to cap what a person can earn.

I have a free DVD that has an overview of the business that I can send you, and also offer a 3 1/2 lb. information packet (also free of charge), if you'd like even more details concerning this business.

I'll be happy to visit by PM, email, or phone (My toll free number is on my website "Contact" page), and will gladly answer any questions I can about my business, Kaeser and Blair, Inc. or this industry.

Over 20 years in my home-based biz

Just celebrated my 33rd anniversary of turning 21.

I started my home-based business back in '84 and watched it grow from a part-time effort on my part to full-time for me, with assistance from my wife.

Sandy has been the stay-at-home wife and Mom almost from the time we were married 32 years ago, and transitioned to stay-at-home Nana a couple years ago.

I thrive in self-employment like I never could in a job. But, I do it without inventory, employees, and most of the other headaches of running a business.

I sell promotional advertising to a wide range of business and industry, along with some non-profit organizations and gov't agencies. My industry is promotional advertising - All those ink pens, calendars, golf balls, magnets, coffee mugs, tote bags, and 800,000 other items with a logo added.

Many of my clients have been ordering from me for 10 to 22 years. Once they have done business with me, they find other things I can do for them, along with repeats of the original product as frequently as needed.

Calendars are one of my better repeats, which gives me a great residual income. Many other items become stock items for the customers who need to keep imprinted ink pens, caps, embroidered shirts for employees, etc on hand.

No industry is off-limits in needing one or more of the items we have to offer.

For more details, contact me, or visit my website -

I'll be happy to answer any questions about the opportunity. By the way, it is restricted to residents of the U.S. only.

Looking for home-based income?

Many people are going online, looking for some type of legitimate business they can do from home. In many cases, it's like searching for a needle in a haystack, as there are so many con artists looking to take advantage of them. The number of scams and unprofitable schemes far outweith the number of genuine opportunities for home-based income.

Here is a list of criteria to evaluate any business opportunity to see if it holds promise of being profitable -

"There is no such thing as a perfect business endeavor
...it simply does not exist--period!"
--Richard Kaeser, January 2, 2000

So what do you do?
You search for one that is as close as possible to perfection. Look for one you think is ideal for you, but by all means, investigate, investigate, investigate... regardless of overture!

Here then, is a list of prerequisites you should consider for evaluating and analyzing the potential of any new enterprise--

The ideal business...
NO Dealer Fees
NO Inventory
NO Delivering
NO Employees
NO Limited Territory
NO Sales Taxes
NO RISK

*requires no investment -- that makes it totally risk-free -- nothing to lose!

*has an unlimited, massive market with extraordinary growth possibilities and potential.

*is one you can test and try out before you make a commitment, not after its too late!

*provides you with products that are products that are purchased again and again by the same customer -- repeat orders a certainty!

*is one that gives you the opportunity to build a customer base that you will own -- it's called, EQUITY!

*has no franchise fees, no territory restrictions, no reports, no regulations -- total independence- freedom.

*has an exceptionally low overhead -- no significant cash expenditures, no investments in equipment, inventory, location -- no payroll -- no credit losses -- no loans -- no accounts receivable to carry.

*is free from government controls, regulations and can be relocated.

*provides unlimited income forever -- no quotas.

*gives you leverage -- the opportunity to multiply yourself.

*offers a variety of nationally recognized products at competition less prices!

*gives you negotiating authority to set your own selling prices!

*pays you commissions (without tax deductions) up front on a daily basis -- a good profit for the time expended.

Additional criteria, including info on residual income can be seen on the complete list on my website - view link

I'll be happy to answer any questions about my industry and my 22 years in my home-based business.

Home-based income?

I've read a number of posts on this forum and elsewhere on eons.com. I decided to let others here know there are options for them.

Let me clear up one misconception that some people have. Many believe that home-based means all the work is done at home. In my case, that couldn't be further from the truth. My office is in my home, and has been since I started in back in 1984.

But, prior to expanding my business online, I sold face-to-face almost exclusively for 14 years. I left home everyday, and called on clients and prospects across Southwest Louisiana.

I sell promotional advertising to a wide range of business & industry, organizations, and gov't offices from local school boards to state and federal agencies. My online site, added in '98, have allowed me to expand both the geographical reach as well as the nature of the businesses I can assist.

Promotional advertising is an $18 Billion industry in the US, and a person only needs to capture the tip of a niche to earn some excellent commissions. Meet the client's needs, and you may gain a customer for life.

If anyone is interested in more details, please visit my website, www.CuttingEdgeAdvertising.com . You will find a sampling of products as well as a list of useful criteria for evaluating any bizopp you are considering.
