Women Veterans: Sisters By Choice

Time for a new announcement! We have a great group of Women Vets with a couple of Men who have worked tirelessly for Veterans' issues.

You are welcome to share your stories, jokes, wisdom, and to have a good time here. We're not all about VA regs and Disability Issues. Let's make this a place that we want to visit, and feel great having done so.

The eons Terms of Understanding guides our conduct here. Otherwise, respect for each other is the rule. Respect for the group is the other rule.

All Women Veterans, USO, VA providers, are welcome. All theatres, all eras, and Active Duty especially! There is no age restriction here. While there's no way at all to insure that ALL members are truly women or truly vets, I work hard to confirm the status and to provide a special welcome.

I've found an incredible list of the 25 most asked questions for Women Veterans and it's in this post! Just click on this link!

Show/Hide Button

The show/hide button on the group homepage gives YOU an option.

In your groups, click on the show button (It sits beside "Recent Messages" near the top of the page) to see the full view (including images!). Eons will then remember your preference for the next time that you visit the group. If you want to go back to the truncated version (with pictures hidden), click on 'hide'.

Any member of a group can use this feature. So share this info with your friends if they don't already know.

Disablity Benefits

I have a moral conundrum. I was in for 10 years and when I got out in '88 I was a 30 percent disabled vet, with Reynauds as a primary cause of disability. Now I am 100% disabled with Fibroymalgia, IBS, osteoarthritis in my back and bursitis in my hips.

I am getting SSI, and wondering if I should be reevaluated for 100 % disability for VA. We have so many Vets coming back with limbs missing and much worse injuries then I have, even though I cannot work at all now.

What do you think? Should I try or let it go till after elections and we see what happens with VA benefits?

New computer

I finally have a new computer so I can now stay current and in touch! I bought a new laptop today rather than replacing the hard drive in my desk top -- I always seem to enjoy spending more time on my daughter's laptop than I did my desktop so I decided to bite the bullet and invest in a laptop.

Hope I haven't missed too much by not being able to stay in touch.
