Ladies! (and Gents too!)
Hello Everyone!
Just a quick message to you to say that our group is small but Growing! Hurray!
So go ahead and spead the word to those you know, and help us grow even more.
And also, if you see a Post looking for a Recipe that you know you have, Please! feel free to answer back with Your Own recipe.
The more we share and interact with each other, the better our group will become!
We can be like a bunch of girls at a slumber party sharing with each other the "best of the best" that we've made (and eaten, cuz we didn't have to worry about our weight back then!).
Let's get comfy with our friends here and share our love of Great things from our Kitchens! Even the not so great.... our crazy mistakes are good for a laugh, right?
Mine are ;-)

Recipe ForA Cake Baked In A Small Can
Hi everyone,
I need some help if you can. I am looking for recipes that you can bake a cake in a can, not a jar. I saw it being done, and cannot remember what channel, but I know it was not Food Network. Any ideas ? I am pretty sure the cans were not soup size, but there again, I am getting older and not so wise, so maybe it was. Hope you can respond with recipes too.
Thanks,
Ellen ( Oma1950 )

Scalloped Potatoes
I'm trying to find a recipe for scalloped potatoes WITHOUT cheese. My mom used to make them something like this:
first she would put sliced potatoes in bottom of a cake pan, sprinkle with S & P, add some butter, sprinkle with flour, and continue until the pan was full. To finish it she would pour milk over it, until you could see it above the potatoes. I have looked high & low and can't find it anywhere. If anyone knows how to make these & what temp to bake & how long I would sure appreciate it.

Old Time Rice Pudding
This is a Very Old Recipe... hope it's what you're looking for:
1/4 cup raw rice
2 cups milk, scalded
2 eggs, separated
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
Cream
Make rice as directed.
Add milk to top of double boiler and cook covered over boiling water until rice is tender, about 50 mins. Stir to keep from sticking. Beat egg yolks thoroughly, add 3 TBS of sugar and salt, and stir in some hot rice mixture; return this to rest of hot rice and cook 2 mins longer, keep stirring. Beat egg whites until stiff, and slowly add remaining sugar until smooth. Fold into rice custard. Chill. Serve with cream or top with Preserves. 5 servings.
Mmmmmm! this sounds deee-lish!!!!
