Been a While
So how's the economy in Mexico? Still doing your horse stuff horse lady?
Mexico
Well, it's been too quiet here lately. I am worried that every one has gone on vacation to another country or something. Or maybe drank the water and are perpetually spending time in the bathroom.
Anything new? Any body. Weddings, births, birthdays, surprises, day trips.?

Violence
Every time I talk to my significant other about going to Mexico to live or even stay for an extended period of time, she brings up the fact of violence there. I agree that there's violence on both sides of the borders around the border towns.
Nothing in this group postings here in the past year made NO mention of any violence so I am assuming that there isn't any concerning American transplants. I have been hearing about kidnapings around San Diego with some killings involved.
I feel optimistic but please be honest who ever answers this.

Thank you Baja
Turmoil is now ending in the Drawing & Painting Group here on Eons after a hostile take over attempt. An INTENSE week of insanity caused by one or two tyrants. We are getting through it finally.
Baja, thank you for your encouraging post you put in our group posting this am. It sure meant a lot to me. You're welcome in our group any time at all.
And I still hope to return to Mexico for a visit soon. I love that country.

Welcome as moderator Wryter. And the new South of the Border name is good. Easier to tell people. Good luck. Am going to Guadalahara for a week in Jan.

DF #10
While on a glass bottom boat trip in Alcapulco, I got TOTALLY DRUNK. It was mid day, hot and I get sick on boats. All I remembered was taking the bait in my mouth and hitting the cold water. There was one fish that said "you don't belong hear but I am hungry". I lived thru it. I heard stories about Mexicans eating dogs. Never new if it was true or not. Many dogs were roaming around here and there. Well, after my drunken boat trip, I got sick of course. And while sitting on a curve throwing my guts up, one of these roaming dogs payed me a visit and cleaned up my mess. I was laughing and barfing at the same time. The rest of the week there was great, white sand beaches, nice hotel with a pool and night club and tourists. Went to some of the local places away from the tourists also. I loved doing that and it was always much more interesting. Paying small bribes was not uncommon.
