Tomorrow is surgery day!
I'm going in for surgery tomorrow to have a malignant tumor removed from my leg! I don't know how long I'll be gone! Hopefully not long!
I'd like you all to play nice, and give the moderators a break! Thanks!

Littering
People who litter really piss me off. How lazy can you be? You can't put a bag in your car to hold your litter until you go get gas and empty it? And I really hate littering when I find that I accidentally do it!
To have garbage pickup around here we have to pay $44 per month. However, I can haul my own trash to the dump transfer station for about $8 per month, and it's only about four miles from me.
So, last Saturday I was hauling a bunch of leftover building material and had it in the utility trailer. As I turned the corner at the end of my gravel road, I saw a couple of things along the road that looked like the flew out of my trailer so I backed up to get them, and just tossed them back in and then slowed down and watched. I hit a bump and an empty box popped out so I stopped again to get it, and found a mediation bottle and picked it up too thinking it was mine. Nope, it wasn't mine. Now, normally it would piss me off even more, but the bottle's contents just made me laugh.

Tight Wads
There is another segment of the population known as "tight wads". These are people who find it very painful to part with a buck. Some of these folks are in fact wealthy but act like they are always on their last nickle. Do you know any "tight wads" if so, what has your experience been with them?
People Who Think They're Perfect
Did you ever run across a person who thinks they are nothing short of "perfect"? Anything that goes wrong is always somebody else's fault never theirs and they make you feel like they are the equivalent of Mother Theresa and you are the Joker. I never know how to respond to people like this - any suggestions?
People who say they're "broke"
There seems to be a growing number of people out there who are always refering to themselves as "broke". Most are homeowners, have jobs and seem to be able to afford trips, nice clothes and dinners in restaurants. I know several of these people personally and am always amazed at how willing they are to tell others that they have no money. Even if I were "broke" my pride would prevent me from advertising it. Frankly, I don't know how to respond when I hear this kind of talk. Do you know anyone like this if so what is your response to them?
Warranty
I bought an LCD monitor last year and 4 days after the warranty lapsed the monitor died. When I called the company to see if they would still honor the warranty they said if I send it back with my original store receipt they will make a decision. Of course a year later I couldn't find the receipt. But it left me with the question: If they get it back and see that it was 4 days after the warranty expired what are the chances they would repair it anyway? Are all products warranted up to the point their life expectancy is over? Expired warrantees frost me!!
Hurricanes.
How long are the taxpayers going to have to foot the bill to move people back and forth every year. They need to start paying for moving themselves. I don't think the taxpayers need to be accountable for this . I saw a interview on T.V this morning on a local station where the guy didn't think enough was being done for them. Hello! They had a place to sleep and their meals delivered. This is getting ridiculous.
How can I quit this group?
OK, EONS, I've sent 3 emails saying I want to no longer receive daily notifications from you. What gives? I want out! Help! I have found that I no longer give a rip what pisses other people off.
Just Saying Hello
My name is Gabby. I am new to Eons. This looks like a group that may be some fun as well as serve as a sort of pressure valve...
Ecoli
I'm more concerned than pissed. This is just an FYI on dining out.
A couple of weeks ago a young man died from a particularly bad strain of Ecoli. Within just a couple of days the local hospitals were seeing more cases. They say the source is a local buffet style restaurant. The last count I heard on the local news was that over 200 were sick with it. I think the last count I heard was over 50 in hospital. They are saying that this strain of Ecoli can be passed person to person. There are several children in hospitals with failing kidneys because of it. They have swabbed every surface of the restaurant and are testing to find the source.
I haven't eaten at that restaurant for several years because of how sick I got the last time I ate there. I didn't know whether to hang my head or my hiney over the pot. They were kind of snotty to me when I called to tell them that I got sick. Didn't have the time of day for me. The lady I talked to acted like I was trying to get my money back or something. I have talked to several people who say they have gotten sick from eating there in the past and one person said they called the health department because of it, but nothing happened. Now I am totally done with buffet style eateries.
A curious note, for me at least, is that the national news hasn't said one thing about it. Usually they are all over something like this.
