Catholic Dream
In my dream I am at Mass. When the priest goes to raise the host, instead he holds up a large round mirror and turns to the people, including both wings of the church .and says to us: "You are the body of Christ"...but later he has something that must have been like a leaf blower and blew off everything on the altar. I have no idea what that meant. "Out with the old" I'm guessing.
After Mass, while he was " still vested, I went back into the sacristy and called him every name in the book and told him if that was his idea of saying the Mass, it would be the last damned time I was coming there." He sorted looked stunned that I was not "with it" about understanding all the new changes.
It was one of those dreams that consisted of real people I know and seemed very real and I was really pissed off in the dream.

Not mine, but I'll explain
A friend of mine who I fell out of contact with approximately a year ago just wrote me an email describing a dream she had with me in it. I will repeat it here just as it was written to me. Any ideas?

Trees
I had this dream just 2 nights ago.
I was in my backyard and noticed that my little pond was almost empty and the pump was sucking air. I rolled out the garden hose and was turning on the water when I looked up and noticed that someone had cut down ALL THE TREES at the back of my property! There was also some gravel laid in a path like a road was being built right thru the woods. I was extremely upset. I went looking for people to verify what I was seeing and to find out why this was done. There was no resolution, the dream ended.
That morning, I had to look out my window to be sure the trees were still there. It occurred to me that all the woods are private property owned by me and the neighbors around me, it was ridiculous to think that someone would try to put in a road thru there.
I can relate most of this dream to real life happenings.
A house a few doors down had cut down most of the trees on their property which was heavily wooded. I haven't thought or talked much about it recently. In another group we've been joking about hugging trees and I recently was watching the pond level to determine if it had a leak. Funny how your mind takes all that info and combines it.

dream repeated
I had this dream maybe 5 or 6 times and it is always the same and it is in color. Looking back I think the last time I had it was about 6 years ago. But I had it again last night.
I have a silver car, and something happens to the engine where I can not get any speed from it I take it to a friends garage and he says its gonna be several thousands of dollars to fix it.. so I take the car home and put it in my Dad's garage, because I dont have the money.. Then I amdriving this really nice sporty car, but I do not know how I got it, but some how I park it in a lot but then I do not remember what city or what lot it is in.. so its lost, so I go back to my Dads garage and get inside my old car the milage says 5609 miles.. its my car but everything is reversed like looking in a mirror.. I take it out and drive it and its fine.... but I can feel a loss about not having the red car anymore but then the dream ends. nthe funny thing is that 54609 really sticks out in the dream, and the cars always look the same..

A few years ago
A few years ago I had a strange crazy dream. I dreamed I was sitting on some bleachers watching a weird live show. People were on stage and hanging large numbers on a clothes line and anounceing the number. I had no idea as to why and wasn't paying it much attention when suddenly the person next to me bumped my arm and said, "LOOK, thats your dads number they put up" I said, what? The person (I don't know who) said, "Your fathers number is up."
I looked at the stage and a big bold number was hanging on the line and I knew it was my fathers. Then I woke up and had to go to the bathroom. I thought about the dream. It was weird, I went back to sleep and no more dreams that night. A month later my father died on the eleventh. That was the number hanging on the clothes line.

My Usual Dream
My dream seems to merge parts of my personal history into one activity. Seems to be a blend of former coworkers , school and my monastic days. Last night I was in some kind of institution, large building, clean,modern and it had class rooms , but some of the folks in the classrooms were coworkers from the past, and some of the folks showing me around were former monks showing me around. I remember being in the hall way ,near the chapel and a hallway leading to an office. I remember feeling comfortable what I was being told. I vaguely remember being told what was expected of me and I told himself..."I can do that!" Everyone I ran into was friendly and pleasant.
The only way I was able to pull up this dream this morning was that I was in a store and a customer I saw reminded me of someone who was in my dream. Then the whole dream unraveled for me. Anyone else have these "triggers" later in the day, that opens the door to recall the entire dream?

You guys almost invite me into your personal dreams. Your vivid narrations give me flash backs to similar dreams. If I record my dreams on paper, they are like real events in my life. They seems just as real as some of my memories. What folks said or did in my dreams are recalled just like all other memories.
Dreaming again
Last night i dreamt that we were in the process of moving into a new house...it was a very large house with many rooms and corridors. The funny thing was that the rooms didnt make sense. For instance one room had a shower in it and was the bathroom but it was dirty and dingy and i was thinking to myself ewww i didnt want to have to shower in there. I noticed there was no bathtub. I moved on to the next door and i saw a bathtub against the wall but the weird thing was that it was tucked underneath the very low ceiling so that you could barely see the tub itself as if it was lowered into the floor to make room for it and the room itself was so short you had to bow down to get into it and i thought to myself geez thats not very convenient.
Then i was going down the hallway and up a set of stairs and found what looked like a bedroom but it had two black sofas instead of a bed and four dressers. I walked over to one dresser and thought it very attractive. It looked like birds eye maple and was in the Chippendale style. I pulled open the thin top drawer and it was lined in soft material and at first i thought it was for jewelry but wondered why it has screw drivers in it. I opened the next drawer and it had niches made out and large woodworking tools to fit in the niches. I called my husband over and showed him that it wasnt a dresser after all but a very fancy tool crib and obviously very expensive and there were three others in the room. And we were discussing what to do with it all because everything in the house was ours, it came with the house but alot of it was stuff we didnt need.
The carpet was an ugly green and dingy and dirty and there were cobwebs all over the place and some of the lights didnt work when i tried the switches.
I remember saying to my husband that we would have our work cut out for us remodeling the house especially the bathrooms because no way was i using them until they were normal bathrooms.
I often have dreams of finding a house filled with "treasure" in it. Probably because it has always been something ive wanted. To buy a large old farmhouse with a walk in attic and find the attic filled to brimming with stuff that has been sitting there since the past century or two.
I always enjoy these dreams but this one was just strange.

Problems in Dreams
Whenever I am in trouble in my dreams I try to use a phone and I can not get it to work. Either there are no numbers on it or the numbers don't punch in the as they are listed, like if you punch a 2 you could get anyting from another number to a letter or even a word. I have read somewhere that you can not do math in your dreams but I know I can take measurments and add them.
