too much jewelry
I have inherited literally thousands of pieces of beautiful costume jewelry from the 30's, 40's, 50's 60's, 70's.
I would really like to sell this stuff, but have no idea where to start except by cataloging and bagging it.
Could anyone recommend a good book or web site? I don't want to rip anyone off and I don't want anyone to rip me off either.
Thank you.

Any info on jelly belly spider?
I've just joined the group! Hello to everyone! Can anyone give me info and value on a brooch of a spider with rhinestones down its legs and a jelly belly?
Introduction
Just thought I'd introduce myself. I am in my 50's and have lived all over the country. I have lived in New England for the past 6 yeas.
I inherited my love of all types of jewelry from my Mother and Grandmother. I don't have a favorite type of jewelry, though I do tend towards interesting stones of all sorts. I have done some beading and wire wrapping, though I am not a creative or "crafty" person.
I will try to post some pictures later of some of my favorite "jewels".

want to know about
i inherited a lot of my grandmothers jewlry and love it. i just would like to know more about it.....
Hello!
I find pieces at all the usual places, yard sales, thrift stores, junk shops and in the trash. It never fails to amaze me what gets tossed out. EBay used to be ok when I started selling some of the assorted pile of stuff that's taken over the basement. That was in 1998. EBay was fun and had a sense of community. Now....bleh! Anyway, I love vintage jewelry and hope to get some chit chat going.
Me too!
Hi...I thought about starting a jewelry group..so glad to see one...and I too am a sucker for vintage and costume jewelry...I take old pieces and make new peices many times in order to rescue it from the trash.
