Good Night Friends
I have to say good night. I have the roofers coming in tomorrow to put a new roof on my house. Don't know what time they will be here but I won't get to sleep in.

Sweet Dreams!

My sincere congratulations
To all of you who have your "Mo Anam Cara" (that's Gaelic for "Soul Mate"), I congratulate you. While I'm single, I wanted to post this poem for all of you. I wrote this in 2002 for my cousin's 50th wedding anniversary. I'll never have a 50th, or even a 30th, but I tried to capture the magic and the simple secret that eluded so many of us..but not you.

It was the summer – 1952
Side by side, we said “I do”
Two young kids with no great plan
Didn’t matter, you held my hand
Growing up’s hard, abandoning illusions
Life’s harder when you jump to conclusions
And some mistakes were made in haste
But I felt calm, when you hugged my waist
No life comes with a set of directions
Constant adjustments and mid-stream corrections
I found courage not to be meek
Every time you touched my cheek
Do we have a plan, know where we’re headed?
Find the good life and avoid what we’ve dreaded?
You have no answers, and neither do I
But I knew it’d work out, when I looked in your eyes
House and jobs and kids and school
Not knowing what to do, feeling a fool
When anxiety and doubt washed over me
You calmed me down, when you squeezed my knee
Is it supposed to be easier as we get older?
We find more courage and get a little bolder?
Find the answers to questions we missed?
Wasn’t important, when I felt your kiss
A different path I could have walked
An “I do,” a promise, could have been talk
Abandoned it all, taken a different chance
That all disappeared, whenever we danced
I’d never trade those days and nights
The laughter, the tears, the heated fights
Fifty years of a life unplanned
It all began when you held my hand

Hello," I'm just so proud to be here"
Hello Pootums and all the members of this group. What a day it has been. Cold here in Middle Georgia. Some of you will probably get a big smile when I tell you that it was 20 degrees here today. Brrrrr. You are probably use to much colder. But they said the wind chill factor was 10 so what ever that means it was cold enough for long Johns. I had to go to Wally-World (Walmart) and good grief I like to have frozen. I actually wore a long coat, gloves, and a hat. The wind was chillin' my bones....Now I think I'm coming down with a cold. But ahhh I've had my flu shot. So after a good night sleep snuggled up in my Memory Foam Mattress with a heated mattress cover I should be fine.
What's going on in your town? Is it cold enough for you? If not come to Georgia....Let me know I'll leave the light on for you and throw another log on the fire, okay?

Bye for now, I'm just Mollie, plain and simple.
