Flavored Coffee; Herbal Teas, etc.

I am not a fan of flavored coffees. I won't go out of my way even for a Starbucks or Duncan Donut brew. Give me a hearty full flavored regular cup of java, black with some sweetener... and I am a happy camper!
Now, tea, on the other hand, is a different story. I do like herbal and/or organic blends; also plain, no milk, just some sugar.
Coffee is my drink of choice though... a must have to start my day.
We have a sister-in-law that insists I must like flavored coffee. She brings some whenever she comes to dinner, hoping that I will make it and 'enjoy' it with her. I keep telling her I prefer basic, plain, unflavored coffee, to no avail. She won't give up!

Tell us of your coffee and/or tea preferences.

Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day will be here in just a few more days? Those of you who are married, or have a significant other, do you have plans for this weekend or Valentine's Day itself?
For those of you who don't have anyone special, do you have any plans, or do you just try to let it slide by quietly?

Name a Diner Side Dish ~

Okay, so we all know the main entrees served at the diner... but, what about the sides?
What do you order alongside your meat, poultry or seafood?

My favorite is always, mashed potatoes with lots of gravy!

BREAKFAST- again most important ~

Breakfast, again is named the most important meal of the day by health advocates. You need a serving of protein, fruit and fiber to get you going. Also, a good breakfast satisfies you to eat a smaller, healthier lunch.
Tell us what a usual breakfast at your house consists of. We usually have OJ, cereal and coffee. Maybe once a week; an egg, toast and bacon, waffle, pancakes or toasted English muffin with jelly. Today, a toasted bagel with lox and cream cheese!

Super Bowls ~ Memories?

How many years have you been watching the Super Bowl? What teams do you remember best? Who will you be rooting for tomorrow?

My favorites were when the Eagles and the Bucs we in it. not against each other, of course. To me, the earlier years with the Steelers, were the most exciting!

'Hummingbird Cake' Anyone?

Years ago we had a piece of hummingbird cake and last Friday; at an antique show, in the food court, we again tasted the sweet treat. My wife found a recipe in Southern Living magazine... and we are planning on making it at home, real soon. Made with ripe bananas, crushed pineapple and chopped pecans. ~ Anyone ever have it?

OBAMA stops wounded soldier from speaking

SEND THIS ON, DO ALL YOU CAN--Our COUNTRY is in TERRIBLE TROUBLE!!! PRAY!!!!!!!! This soldier was on Hannity just this week. Levi

OBAMA STOPS WOUNDED SOLDIER FROM SPEAKING!! Sent by Retired Vice Admiral Bob Scarborough, of Arlington , Va.
"I wanted to give you all some disturbing information on our wonderful president. I work with the Catch-A-Dream Foundation, which provides hunting and fishing trips to children with life-threatening illnesses.

This past weekend we had our annual banquet/fundraiser event in Starkville. As a part of our program, we had scheduled Sgt. 1st Class Greg Stube to come; he's a highly decorated U.S. Army Green Beret and inspirational speaker who was severely injured while deployed overseas and didn't have much of a chance for survival.

Greg is stationed at Ft. Bragg , NC and received permission from his commanding officer to come speak at our function.

Everything was on go until Obama made a policy that NO U.S. SERVICEMAN CAN SPEAK AT ANY "FAITH-BASED" PUBLIC EVENTS ANYMORE.

Needless to say, Greg had to cancel his speaking event with us.
Didn't know if anyone else was aware of this new policy. Wonder what kind of news we all will receive next?

You're just starting to see the Obamanation. Is our religion on the list next??? I don't know about you, but this makes me furious.

This is just how the Nazis did it in the 1930s -- slowly, one step at a time. If you don't see the similarities, you are truly blind.

This should be forwarded to everyone regardless of party affiliation!
