OCTOBER RIDER CHECK-IN!
BWA & myself need to know who is onboard. There seems to be a serious problem with paticipation inequality..A few people are doing all the work! Everyone else is lurking. Please feel free to weigh in on the problem. Or if you are a lurker, stop by and say hey! (shock us all) :)
HAVE YOU EVER HEADED OUT
Then changed your mind & went back home cuz weather got bad?
Today we headed out to Oregon, & instead of the light drizzle, turning to clearing - steady rain & 40 some degrees. Bummer :(

YOUR LAST RIDE...
Tell us about it..No matter how short or long. This is a journal for all!
Bikeless
Well, I've been involuntarily made bikeless for the time being. Some idiot who wasn't paying attention rear-ended me and managed to do enough damage to the bike that the insurance company has called it a total loss. Virtually no damage to me (a little lower back muscle pain for the first few days) thank goodness.
I was planning to move up to something a little bigger anyway, but not this soon and definitely not this way. I figured I'd have lots of time to test ride, etc. and make up my mind. Now the timeframe has been shortened and I don't like it one bit. And, of course, what they're giving me for my bike is way short of what's needed for a new one, even if I got the same model I have now (which ain't happening anyway). I did see something today online that I liked (the Harley Tri-Glide), but it's got a MSRP of $30k, so that's not an option. And the new Star that's coming out (950cc) won't be in showrooms until November. I really don't want to wait that long. Aaaarrrrrgggggghhhhhhhh!
