Thank you for the invitation to this group! What a wonderful surprise. I'm slowly learning my way around so please bear with me. I joined last fall, but just recently began getting involved here.

My name is Sue. I am a 61 year old (almost) grandma from Iowa. I have one husband of almost 41 years, 2 kids (almost 34 and just turned 38), 1 Cat named Sparky, 2 grandkids (Boy almost 13 and Girl who turned 15 last December) and 5 Grandcats.

My hobbies/interests are MANY! One of these days I will fill out the profile, but not tonight. We spent the morning moving a friend's bachelor son from one apartment to another so we are kind of wilted. In 5 hours (1:30 Sunday morning) we going to the high school to see our granddaughter off on a bus where she and the band will meet their flights to Hawaii from Minneapolis. They will be performing patriotic music at Pearl Harbor next week.Next weekend we will meet her at the school to welcome her home. We are VERY involved in the lives of our children and grandchildren.

The swap, barter, recycle, donate 'thing' is right up my alley. I sew for the children who are patients in the Shrine Hospitals. So I am always looking for colorful printed fabric to make dolly/teddy bear hospital gowns.I make them in 2 sizes. It's a comfort to the children when their dolls/bears are dressed as they are for surgery. The dolls/bears go to the operating rooms with the kids. We also are looking for simple tray favors for the kids - anyone have any cute ideas/patterns?

Anything in particular you need, please post it and if I can help, I will surely do so.
