I had dinner with Bob and Anna last nite at the club I wanted to take them to. We had Prime Rib and we danced a few times. There were 2 big parties so the regular dancers didn't show. But I wanted my QVO's to see and hear this band. We left and parted early because I have a little ways to drive and I wanted to make church the next day kinda awake and Bob and QVO wanted to get back to their hosts and not keep them up.

I was so happy they were there and it felt like a real family gathering. It was so near and dear. Bob and Anna danced a couple of times and they did when a bolero was played that was QVO's Mom's favorite. QVO came back from the dance floor misty eyed and happy that she heard that song.

We said goodbye and made a promise for NY!

Last week was a great week full of blessings..lets top it this week.

HAVE A BLESSED SUNDAY;

Today I was blessed by the LORD when he brought Bob and QVO to visit me at my job. I knew they were coming because they called me earlier but it was still a great surprise. I was able to spend an hour with 2 of the most lovable people in the Somos Latino world!

As usual, my money was left at home and Bob was gracious enough to buy lunch. But tomorrow I will get even. We have decided to meet close to where they are staying which happens to be near the dance club I like to go to. It will be Prime Rib and my treat! A fantastic band will be playing called the Sedillo Brothers Band featuring a very sweet and dear friend who is also the singer. B&Q will meet her tomorrow. Latina, I'm wearing my old tennis shoes and I will be ready!!!!!

It was so good to see them again and I had a great flashback of Texas with Latina and Cata & Bob! I firmly believe that a good feeling around people mean a great friendship. And even though I met them once that feeling was definitely present. It was near QVO's old stomping grounds and I'm anxious to find out if they did indeed cruise the old hometown. I'll find out tomorrow!

I wish that all of you could be here and I am looking forward to NY in 2010. Yes, mi Chuleta, we discussed it and we are ready!!!!!

Hi gang! I just turned 62 last Monday! How are you Somos Latinos members doing? I hope your doing fine. As for myself, I'm still writing music to keep me busy! I just wanted to say hi! Your old, old, old guitar playing pal, Johnny Romero of The Tijuana Surfers.

My Chicago trip to attend the Playing for Change concert would not come to fruition without or very own SPitt...I stayed at Belden-Stratford a great old girl; this hotel is on the historic registry...what a beautiful setting for my trip it was a special treat...nestled in Lincoln Park overlooking the Conservatory...unfortunately my room was just on the 3rd floor so I did not have a view of the lake also...next time I will certainly asked for 5 floor or above....My first night we were driven to the south side and had a great barbecue meal...an epicurean delight..the evening followed with a stop at Artis's Lounge for some Blues after a few Rum and Cokes I was ready to brave the harbor for a quick tour.
