Hey everybody! Suzy from Eons looking for new skins for the Eons Skins Gallery view link that would be good for Vet's Day. If you find any, PM Suzy so that she can add them to the Skins Gallery.
She is looking for skins that would be appropriate for the military holidays and memorial days. She added that she would like to have skins from each and all the military services.

My claim for AO is still alive and pending with the BVA. I was exposed to chemicals including AO at Ft. McClellan, Al. I made three blocks for the AO Quilt of Tears, one block for each member of my family. The attorneys that I thought were going to help me regarding Mary Ellen's and my situation refused to do what I wanted. They took the side of the state and the guardian. There are remarks made about me that are not true in the court records!! When I got the letters from the attorneys, I had major panic attacks and problems sleeping. I also had to have aother mental health exam regarding my PTSD because the VA has reopened my claim. That is I had to retell what happened in the military. This all happened at one time! You can share this post because I do not know where to post it. I can trust you!

WE WILL NOT FORGET OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS ON THIS DAY OF MOURNING. THEY GAVE AND ARE STILL GIVING THEIR ALL FOR US.

There was no “I don’t want to go” “I’m too tired” “too sick” “too old” …! The people needed… called.
They went! In uniform or out, they went! They rescued those they could and continued to try even though all hope was finally lost.
They gave their lives during the attack on our country.
I speak all of the time about our military and their sacrifices. I don’t say much about the guys and gals I worked with in the criminal justice system… Most/many people do not care for cops.
I did and still DO. Oh, I know that some are bad apples… wish there weren’t but the honesty in me says cops are human too.
Bad apples or not, they gave their lives that day in September. Fire personnel did the same. There are not many civilians who were willing to go into battle in the city that day but many did.
The dispatchers did fantastic job of keeping track of theirs. Dispatchers did not/could not see the extent of the damage… the injuries… They did not know if their family members and friends who worked in the area had survived. They stayed and did their jobs.
I am so proud to be a member of that dedicated group. I mourn their loss.

altA Lexington woman is frustrated and angry because she says her Neighborhood Association is trying to force her to take down a symbol of her American pride.
Betty Thompson lives in the Chilesburg development off Joett Creek Drive in Lexington and she wants to keep her free-standing flag pole.
She put the flag up around the Fourth of July. She says she did it because she's had four brothers fight in wars and she loves our country.
Recently she received a notice from the Chilesburg Maintenance Association letting her know that free-standing flag poles are not allowed, and if she doesn't take it down, she will be fined an initial $50 and then another fine of $75 and additional attorney fees..
She says she didn't realize the pole was against the rules and she thinks it's ridiculous they are trying to make her take it down..
"It just makes me plain old mad.. And I don't intend to honor their request."
"I'm proud to be an american.. And I think it really adds to the community."
Thompson says she has been seeking legal advice..

(AP) — Thousands lined the streets of Jacksonville for the funeral procession of Michael Scott Speicher, the Gulf War pilot whose remains were returned to Florida 18 years after his plane was shot down.A hearse carrying the Navy pilot's flag-draped coffin traveled Friday to a Jacksonville monument bearing the names of the area's war dead. At Memorial Wall, military officials, Gov. Charlie Crist and the Jacksonville mayor honored the service of a man whose FA-18 Hornet was shot down the Gulf War's first night.The hearse was scheduled for a long tour through places from Speicher's life. That included the church where he taught Sunday school and high school where he excelled at swimming and tennis.Speicher will finally be laid to rest at Jacksonville Memory Gardens in a private ceremony.
