Hello All, I hope you are all enjoying your Christmas Day this year. Our plans changed because our hostess (daughter) came down with the flu last night after the Christmas Candlelight Service at church, so we'll be staying home and doing our get-together on Saturday. Hopefully, if she and all the children are better. I pray that she is, but it won't be the same as one of my sons can't be there as he's further away and may have to work Saturday...:(...That makes it sad because I haven't seen him and his family for several months, but I have to remember that Jesus is the Reason for the Season and hope everyone has a wonderful and Merry Christmas Day. God bless you all.

I guess everyone has all those Fall chores to do, or are you about to finish up? I've been painting the front and back porches/decks, I've done some canning of tomatoes, green beans, etc., and cutting back some plants for the winter. I hope you are all doing well, and are getting all you want accomplished. The Fall is my most favorite season of all. I hope to hear from some of you very soon and let us know what all you've been up to and how you're doing. God bless you all.

It's so hot here, yesterday was about 96* and our a/c ran most of the day/night. Today, it is a bit cooler, like 76*, as we got some much needed rain last night, and it's been off and on so far today. Our tomatoes sure needed that, even though I've been watering them every other day. I hope you all are keeping cool, but busy, this nice summertime. God bless you all and we'd love to hear what some of you have been up to, so far this summer.

Wow! It seems like it's been a long winter. We've had 3 sleet & ice storms, and only a small amount of snow here in Southern IL. I'm so ready for Spring...
Right now, I have the flu/head cold/sinus infection/something that is making me feel miserable. Feverish, achey, coughing, stuffiness...it's terrible. I'll be so glad to get over it. Last night, my husband started feeling bad too, although his is a bit different. Either way, "This too shall pass..." and I'm thankful to God for that.
I hope you all read rosembeth's message..."R.E.S.P.E.C.T." It was great and very well written. She makes it sound very simple, doesn't she?

I know I've been slack too, as we all get busy with life. But we all need someone to talk to from time to time too. I know it's that way for me anyway. I hope you are all coping with the winter weather, we've had several sleet storms, along with thunder snow storms as well. Yeah, thunder snow, that's a snow storm with thunder. It doesn't happen too often, but it has happened two times in the last month, here in IL. I, for one, will be so glad for warmer weather to finally get here. But in the meantime, I'm trying to keep busy.
I created my very first scrapbooking pages today. It was so fun, and I'd been collecting supplies for it for about 2 years now. I finally got up the courage to try it, and I loved it. I made my first 3 pages, and it was so much fun. I guess I'll be doing more of it now that I've got my feet wet, so to speak.
I'd like to hear from some of you from time to time, and see how you're coping with winter, and how you're keeping yourself busy till Spring. Also, I think we all need some encouragement from time to time. I know I do...

Hello everyone, I hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving. We did! We went to my middle daughters' house, where all brought all they great goodies for the meal. We had turkey and ALL the trimmings, and soooo much dessert too. There were 20 family members there, and those times are so awesome. Talking, catching up on all their lives, taking pictures, eating too much, just visiting, did I say eating??? LOL! Sure do hope you all had a great day then too, with family and loved ones.
