Are there any single people who are RVer's
Hi, I am a divorced female thinking about going full time as an RVer. I purchased a brand new 31 foot motor home for my Christmas gift in 2007 and can not wait to put it on the road full time. If there are any people out there in Southern CA who would like to meet nice folks like myself , send a response. Thanks
Can't Wait to Retire
I'm really surprised there aren't more in this group!
Presently, I have a five-year plan for retiring, but I'm champing at the bit. Hope to buy an RV late this year and start taking 2-3 months off in the winter to travel with my cat, paint and write. I'm a realtor and have my own company, but after 22 years in the business am ready to put it behind me.
I'm thinking of writing a book on how to retire without pots full of money. Any and all advice/ideas you all can offer will be gratefully accepted.
I look forward to hearing from all of you - more of your experiences, both good and bad.
Susan

Part Time RVers
Hubby and I have a seasonal site at a local campground (about 30 minutes from our home). We spend almost every weekend there. We haven't traveled very much lately because of the high fuel prices.
We have a 5th wheel and love our home away from home. We would love to travel extensively when he retires. I recently quit my full time job to expand my home business, and I am loving my freedom.
Our campground does not provide wifi online access, so I'm thinking of getting an air card for my computer because my business is mostly online.
Looking forward to chatting!
Peggy

Retired FullTime RV'er
Hi everyone, I'm new to Eons. My wife and I always enjoyed travel, so when I retired from a utility company after 33+ years, we sold the house, and started traveling!! We've had had a motor homes for years, so we sold the 32', and bought a '01, 38' Discovery in 'o5. Our families are in Mo. So we campground host part of the summer near them, then travel in the fall, spring, and winter. We joined thousand trails to hold down some of the camping costs while we travel. We're enjoying retirement, although in the short time of our retirement, fuel prices have doubled, and our health ins, tripled. I'm looking for an ejob I can do in my spare time.

Duchess of Wanderings
I am about 5 years away from retiring. I am planning on going full time for at least 5 years. See what I want to see. Go where I want to go. I have an 18' Toyota Sunrader Classic. I am probably going to have to sell it as it needs major surgery! I need to find a shade tree mechanic that will do what it needs, without causing more problems.

Sadly...no more RVing
Hi, I was going to title this: "The Worst Thing About RVing" but knew it would be misunderstood. After 11 years of being snowbirds, traveling to San Diego from the East Coast every year, my husband and I suddenly (many family reasons) decided to buy a winter home in Florida. Don't get me wrong, we don't regret the decision, it's just that we enjoyed beautiful San Diego (specificaly Chula Vista RV Resort and Marina) We probably should have waited a few years, but the house we found was perfect for us. I can't reccommend the RV lifestyle more! We met friends that are closer and dearer to us than many of our "back home" friends. It is absolutely best way to see our beautiful country.(Now all we have to do is sell the motorhome:)
Airstream owners?
We've never owned an RV, but my husband has always been enamored with Airstreams and is now thinking of buying one. It would be a small one, probably 17 feet, mainly used for short trips. He's looking at the DWR, but I think that's too pricey. Probably a Safari Sport. Since we've never towed anything, I'm mostly concerned about how easy or hard it is to get used to towing something. We live in a windy area too; have you had experience with Airstreams in the wind? Also, what do you pull it with? We'd probably have to get another vehicle. I doubt our Jeep Wrangler would do the job.
Hi everyone
I'm new to this group but not knew to EONS. I didn't realize there were other RV groups, I belong to 2 already. My husband and I became fulltimers 2 years ago and we love it! I wrote a squidoo page regarding full time RV'ing, I'd love it if you stopped by and left me a message. The page is view link
