Jetlag
I am sure there are lots of international travelers around here. How do people manage with jetlag with frequent traveling?
Amsterdam
A'dam is a place we visit again and again - we love wandering the beautiful canals day and night, shopping, eating, listening to music.
Just back from a last-minute 5 day trip there - here's our blog if anyone's interested:

Road Trip Tip
If you ever decide to take a long road trip it's a good idea to rent a car.
When dropping off the car at the rental agency their eyes nearly popped out of their heads when they saw 4,700 miles added on the odometer, I am so glad it was unlimited mileage. I would say they lost money on me putting all that mileage on in 2 weeks for only $209 total but I rather beat on a rental then my own car.

The "New 7 Wonders of the World" were announced this summer by the nonprofit NewOpenWorld Foundation, and Mayan ruins Chichén Itzá made the list. Dabs calls the ancient site "the best daytrip on the Mayan peninsula." Get a glimpse of her trip on her pages.

Having done "the climb" (I think the last year they allowed it), I agree. I will post some pics. Cheryl

Mapping Software
Just joined the group, I'm making a little booklet with photos and daily observations of our last trip and would like to put in the front a detailed map showing each village at which we stopped. That is, I'd like to show our trip on a map with lines between each stop so someone (maybe grandchildren?) could someday retrace our steps if they want. Has anyone found such software?
Thanks,
Kirk

Estes Park CO
My hubby and I are going to Estes Park in September. We would like any info you can give us on what to see and do. Besides the view, of course. We are staying at Lake Estes Inn. Anyone have any comments on this motel? You never know what you are getting sometimes.
Taking The Bus
The bus service is excellent in the Hotel Zone of Cancun. It's a cheap way to travel and buses run by every 3 minutes. But if you stay south of Cancun on the Mayan Rivera a rental car might be a better choice to explore the area more fully
Relax During Mid Day
Here is a handy hint...If you are planning any trips to the Desert Southwest this summer and enjoying any outdoor activities such as hiking or biking it's best to be up and out by daybreak or near sundown. The heat during the middle of the day can be brutal
