Hi: Just joined today and thought I'd jump right in to find "like-minded" people in the world. I'm a 20 year veteran of real estate sales and just transitioned into full time management. I really enjoy the switch since I don't feel you can effectively do both roles without compromising yourself.

Hello. My name is Pamela Jo Kepner (Pam) and am Broker/Owner of Riverfront Properties Inc. (www.riverfrontpropertiesinc.com) in Annapolis Maryland. It's been a challenge to open my own brokerage after working 10 years for other folks.

We cooperate fully with all brokerages, and pay a 30% referral fee. We have found over the years that relationships - still - are what buy and sell real estate.

Our doors officially opened February 06; however, I carried an Associate Broker license with Coldwell Banker in Annapolis and Columbia (corp); prior to that, Keller Williams and Remax.

Would like some feedback: I'm perplexed on the recruiting angle. My goal is to develop a business model around 8 core Realtors (or Teams), one (hopefully) will rise to the top and want to buy this baby from me in about 6-8 years. I'm finding quite a few stuck-in-the-mud thinking Realtors. Thoughts on breaking out of the mold?
