Mongo & myself have decided that as the administrator's of this group, quickly deleting posts that serve only to inflame the discussion & or directly attack another member, puts the agressive posters on notice. They are denied the satisfaction of seeing their dirty work continuing to be displayed.
The idea that everything should be allowed to remain posted because of some mistaken notion of "freedom of speach" is ridiculous. This isn't a Government controlled public place: it's a privately hosted commercial environment where Terms of Use are agreed to as a condition of membership.
Futhermore, we believe that group "owners" and "moderators" have an obligation to their group members to operate a safe and sane environment where members are not subject to harassment.

Pondering Competitiveness
I'm am not competitive. If you and I play a game, or engage in a sports match, or even bet on an outcome - I don't really care who wins. In fact, I'm probably happier if you win, because then we're both happy. I've been told it kind of takes the fun out of play Monopoly with me! LOL

PONDERING THANKSGIVING
I see it as the perfect holiday. Non denominational, everyone can enjoy, honor on some level. it has not been exploited, lost it's true meaning...yet it seems to be fogotten.. May seem to move from holloween decor right to Xmas. I really dislike seeing Xmas decor before the day after Thanksgiving. Also if some communities have laws that decorations should not stay up past a certain date, well then shouldn't there be laws to prevent them from going up too early? your thoughts?
