Another Writer
Hello everyone.
My name is Leslie, and I saw an ad for EONS while checking my email today, and thought it looked interesting, so here I am.
It's always nice to exchange information and observations with like-minded people, and published authors are certainly a group unto themselves, unique among others. I figure if writing was easy, everyone would do it!
I've had two books published under my pen name, Leslie Ann Garrison. They're listed on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and other sites like booksamillion.com. I'm published by Booklocker.com.
One of my books is a collection of 3 fiction novellas, "Tall Tales Trilogy", and the other is the biography of a young woman who was killed in combat in Iraq in 2005, "American Daughter - The Sam Huff Story". She was the only child of longtime friends of mine who live in Tucson, and she was an extraordinary person.
I'll be checking back here regularly to see if the group becomes more active - I would love to have a place to hang out on occasion!
Best to all...

Greetings
Good morning. I was happy to stumble upon this website. As a 50+ author, it's always nice to meet others with the same interests. I have authored a novel entitled "Threads". It's a story of a womans journey to herself and a unique love story. To read a chapter, go to www.redcanyonink.com or check out my blog at www.threadsthenovel.blogspot.com. I write about writing and life.
I would love to hear from other writers so drop me a note.

Just joined the party
Hey, there! Nice to meet you folks! I've mostly written comic books, graphic novels and scripts for animation, but am also a published playwright. And I write articles for local newspapers and magazines in Upstate New York. I'm about 275 pages into a fantasy novel (and most of these things are huge, so that's not even half way through). Only two of my comics had anything to do with superheroes. I mostly did sci-fi, fantasy and horror. Looking forward to getting to know you all!
Alzheimer's
My book, "Alzheimer's?....Over My Dead Body!" is a book of hope for persons diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease.
It is a true story about someone who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and did not have the disease. I believe far too many people are being diagnosed with this disease and do not have it!
It is available at www.isitalzheimers.com
Give a look. It will give you encouragement.

Telling stories
I'm new to this group, a retired newspaper editor who recently completed his first novel (unpublished). I hope to find inspiration and guidance from this group. The founder of NFL Films provided a simple philosphy that rang clear to me recently. "Provide me with fact and I'll remember it," Steve Sable said. "Tell me the truth and I'll believe. Tell me a good story and I'll hold it in my heart forever."
Exciting news I want to share
I was quite honored and very excited this week when a reporter from our local newspaper asked to interview me about my book "Terror of Love". Erin, the reporter came to my home and did the interview and wrote an article for the paper. She has also read "Terror of Love" and said she thought it was excellent. So much so that she is writing a press release about my book for a large Phoenix newspaper. I just had to share this with all of my EON book writing friends. Here's the link for anyone who would like to read the article.

New to the group
Hello I just wanted to introduce myself, I am new to this group and also eons. I look forward to sharing information with all of you........blessings.
Thanks Pressly
Oh that's a really neat accomplishment Pressly. I must say that although I have always wanted to write & publish a book, it took forever for me to get seated and do it. I really think I was intimidated by it; not sure why, but in retrospect I think that's why it took so long. I hope you find the time to complete that aspect of your writing project.
What's funny is (while I would love to sell a million copies), the real reward for me was just holding my completed book in my hands.

Hello All
I sure am happy to have found this part of EON. I just found EON a week ago and now this...
I am retired after 30 plus years in the electronic manufacturing business and live in the mountains of Arizona with my hubby.
I fulfilled a life long dream in December of writing and publishing a novel and I am in the process of writing another.
My book, "Terror of Love" is fiction and although marketing has just begun, I am getting great feedback.
I am so happy to have found a group of folks with a passion for writing and look forward to getting to know more about you all. Peggy L. Seitz

newbie
I'm a columnist, editor, reporter and freelancer in Saratoga Springs, NY. Never have been much of a joiner, but thought some conversation with others in the profession from outside my area of coverage might be fun and informative.
I am a Westerner to my soul (Wyoming, Colorado, Arizona, California and Utah all places I've lived and loved) and, after 15 years in the Northeast, it's finally growing on me. Besides, if I lived in paradise, where would I go on vacation?
Most of my most recent published stories are posted on saratogian.com Web site under my byline Jill Wing. I write a twice monthly column on the Life cover, and have covered everything from finding art in manhole covers (The former Phoenix Gazette) to blackwater diving with a paramedic rescue group and piloting the Goodyear blimp.
Anyway, nice meeting you, or it will be.
