Why are Facts Inherently Liberal?
Liberals are policy wonks, Conservatives are ideologues. This is abundantly clear in the discussion here of the stolen CRU emails. I had asked time and again that denialists:
1) quote a stolen files
2) provide a link to that file
3) explain what is wrong about the quote.
I didn't get a single response that fulfilled those basic requests. Wolf linked to somebody who tried to do that, but their reasoning was faulty.
Why is it seemingly impossible to have a rational discussion about something with Conservatives?
Perhaps a Conservative can explain how satisfying my three points makes rational discussion impossible???

Climate Bill: Republicans need to deal?
The Republicans were all set to block any climate bill from coming out of Congress. But today the EPA said that it already had the authority and cause for controlling GHGs.

So, if the Republicans want to prevent a Democratic administration from having the EPA do it alone, they have to get a Congressional Bill passed that would be less 'Democratic' than one the EPA would pass. At the margins, clear Congressional intent trumps Agency overreach.
Now, will the Republicans mitigate what they see as actions that are bad for America or will they play a political game? They can either make the legislation 'better' or they can let it be 'worse' and hope that they get some extra Congressional seats or industry contributions.
What kind of principals will the GOP show us?

Is there any place other then just Snopes to check the facts out . I mean Dem talk shows say one thing and Rep talking heads say just the opposite . I would like to see how much BS is being put before me . After awhile I just get disgusted and don't even listen . I figure why bother if I don't really know who is telling the truth . I am sure there are bending and stretching on both sides . I would just have to follow a lie .
