Maltese

I have a soon to be 5 year old female Maltese. Her name is Kayla and she is not a d o g, she is a little girl. I lost my Granddaughter in 2002, and a friend talked me into buying a dog to help me heal. I went to a pet store in Rockford, Ohio. Mrs. Garwick the pet store owner saw my pain. She went in the back of the store and carried out this tiny bundle of fur. She handed me this tiny baby and it was love at first site.
People do not understand the bond that I have with this beautiful little girl, but it is real.
My name is Misty and if there is any one else out there that understands send me a note and let me know. Take Care

~ dog lover here ~

I'm new to this, so I haven't yet figured out how to post pictures of my babies. But for now, I'll tell you that I have: Kewpie (6 yr old St. Bernard), Simone (8 month old Labradoodle) and Ginger (a 6 month old GoldenDoodle). I have kittens too, Skittles & Kharma, but they technically belong to my teenager.

Pembroke Welsh Corgi Dogs

Hi - my name is Donna and I'm new to the group. My owners are two Pembroke Welsh Corgi dogs - Willy and Daisy - who will be 9 years old this summer. In my life, I have had many masters - Sambo the cat... Shadow, Major, Buck and Rebel (Labrador Retrievers) ... Sassy the parakeet ... Billy the cockatiel ... Misty the mutt ... Samantha the burmese cat ... Bitty the calico cat ... Balto the (what else?) Siberian Husky

I think there may have been more, but these are the ones I most fondly recall.

My Baby

I have my dachshund Nellie. She came to us from Wisconsin as a rescue, the best thing that has happened to me in a long time. She literally is the "perfect dog".

Susie

I got my best friend in all the world almost 2 years ago. She is my little Doxie called Susie. I had to put my Weimaraner down after almost 15 years and I hurt so much. And then here comes Susie and she is such a joy!! I hope to have many years with her. I also have a cat named Callie and when Susie first came Callie let her know who was Boss and now they are the best of friends. Hope to hear from someone.

Devoted Rattie Lover

Are there any rat lovers here? I have had my girls for a year and they are so perfect for me. They are like two tiny little puppies and very lovable.

A good evening to all!

Hi all of you pet lovers! I'm new to this site, as well as EONS in general. I am an avid animal lover. I have a dog named Oliver, and 2 cats. One is Miss Lillian Rose, who is a tabby. Her nickname is Lilly. The other cat is a manx. Her name is Nikki-Noodle! She is gray with emerald green eyes! We just call her Nikki for short! If anyone out there wants to chat sometime, I would love to have an email pen-pal. Nice talking to you all, and have a great evening!

**Maltese** Lover 1st! Lover of all Critters

Hello everyone!
I am new to this group and Eons. I love all the pic's and stories of your beautiful companions. (I don't care for the term pet or owner) I prefer to think of my dogs as my companions and I feel lucky to have them in my life. They keep me going! My Maltese (I share my home w/6) are my little white haired angels. They are so sweet and loving. Two of my girls sleep on my pillow every night. Thankfully they only weigh about 5 lbs each and they leave me enough room for my head. LOL... These two seem to need to be as close to me as possible. They curl up into a small round ball and doze off with no concerns. It is nice to reach up and touch them during the night. They are so soft and warm. :-) Misty and Zia are the two who share my pillow, or is it me who shares their pillow? They are mother and daughter. I also have Misty's mother. So I have mother (Ivory), daughter (Misty) and grandaughter (Zia). Lily is Ivory's half sister. Cuddles was my first female. And then there is the tiniest of all, Sunny. She loves my husband most of all! And gets very jealous when he pays too much attention to one of the other girls.
I used to show Maltese and Lily is my first champion. Misty is my first champion out of my own breeding! She likes to stand on her hind legs and rapidly move her front legs up and down, doing what we call the horsey. LOL She does this whenever she wants attention. She even does it to the other dogs when she wants to play. She is just too cute. And she has a very pretty smile!!
I hope everyone has a wonderful New Year!!

New on New Year's Eve

Hi Everyone. Hope you're all getting ready for a wonderful 2007. I'm spending the evening at home with my dearly loved pets. It's so nice to read your emails and see that there are many more out there who also love their pets and consider them family. Your emails made my day.

I am a widow, I work full-time at a job I've been in seemingly forever, and have a pretty comfortable life. My nephew and his son have lived with me for almost two years while "getting on their feet," and that may take more time, which is fine. I'm thankful that I have a place where my nephew (the ex-Marine) and his young son can be safe while looking into their future. The cats and dogs and I are here, and our little family will be enjoying New Year's Eve very much.

I have four cats right now- - all strays who needed me at one time or another in their lives - - and all of whom are neutered/spayed and have made wonderful indoor cats. No problems at all. I try to help stray cats who come to me (I live in the country, fortunately), and have them neutered/spayed and their health and manners stabilized, and then I help find them homes. I've had some good success over the years, and I'm thankful for that. But five of them have stayed over the years, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I have small, 8-year old Nimh, a little gray tabby who never got very big but who has stayed close to me since she was a tiny wild baby, and whose heart and loving ways are as big as the sky. I have two of the most gorgeous brothers - - Sabado and Domingo - - absolutely huge black cats who are too beautiful to be believed. they also came when they were babies and have been here for 4 years. They're my love bugs and will never go anywhere. Then there's a gorgeous big guy - - a Maine Coon cat, of all things - - whose owner bought him and then just threw him outside. I tried to help him the first few months his owner had him, and then the owner gave him to me. He's a beauty - - he's almost 10 and still like a kid. His name is Fuddy.

I had one more very wonderful cat who passed away a year ago today at age 22. I had him from the time he was a tiny baby my husband and I found in a dumpster until last New year's eve. I'm remembering him with great love and joyous memories this evening. His name was Mischief. That's the whole crowd.

Then, I have my dogs, but that's another story altogether. Bottom line - - they are also loved and pampered. I'll introduce them soon. Pictures will follow. I'm just learning to use the picture-sending function on the computer. (I'm a computer dolt.)

Everyone hug their pets and stay safe and have a wonderful New Year. I hope to get to know all of you in 2007.
