Hi to all
Hey , I am back from the mountains. I really had a good time and great fun with my buds since high school. Mountainkateers we were. Hope all here are well and enjoying the remains of our summer. I got in the pool today. Water temp has dropped to like 80 . It has rained a lot since I left. Rained up in Las Vegas, NM too. Ojo Feliz was awesome. Judi and I climbed to the top of her mountain. It is where my brother will be next year. It was beautiful atop and great views down below . It seems hard to want to get back to every day, but I am at it. Loves, P

Mohegan Sun Margaritaville opens....
Marketwatch has an article “One of the World’s Largest Casinos Gets Even Bigger” that mentions Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Conn is slated to open on September 29th.
The saying, “The third time’s the charm,” couldn’t ring more true when it comes to Mohegan Sun’s third major expansion, Project Horizon. On August 29th, one of the largest gaming facilities in the world will get a little bigger as it opens the first portion of its $925 million expansion, the 64,000 square-foot Casino of the Wind, which will offer a 42-table poker room, more than 650 slot machines, 28 table games, Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville, and Chief’s Deli - a quick-service restaurant.
The Mohegan Sun website says “Jimmy Buffett’s successfull Margaritaville Restaurant will open it’s newest tropical paradise at the Mohegan Sun this fall. With seating for 366, it is the first indoor/oudoor restaurant at the Mohegan Sun.”

Nadirah's new CD
Nadirah Shakoor’s New Album
August 31st, 2008 8:45 am
From Nadirah Shakoor: Well my friends I finally do have an official release date for “Nod to the Storyteller” of October 14, 2008! Who knew there would be so many little details to tend to? The art work has been the most time consuming. What do you think of the cover?
I must say that I am very proud of this particular collection of songs. Mr Buffett gave me the twinkling of the eyes smile after he listened (whew!) and I hope you all feel the same especially since you helped choose the music.
Some audio clips from album “Nod to the Storyteller” are now available:
“Creola”
“Making Music for Money”
“When the War is Over” (featuring Jimmy Buffett)
“Frenchman for the Night”
“Wonder Why You Ever Go Home”
“Let Him Go” (a song by Mac McAnally)
We will be celebrating the release at my Las Vegas Margaritaville show Friday October 24th, 2008 from 9pm until and of course you are all invited.
Again thank you all for showing so much Love and Support.

Bo Diddley saved Jimmy
Jimmy’s account of how Bo Didley saved his life
August 27th, 2008 6:47 am
Gun & Gun Magazine has an article: “Who Do You Love - Bo Diddley saved my life one night in Africa! by Jimmy Buffett”
Bo Diddley saved my life one night in Africa! Now that I have your attention, I guess I better fill in a few blanks here. I apologize for the sensationalism of the opening line, but a headline like that seems to work in these times we live in. If it sounds like I am trying to embellish a story, well, isn’t that what writers do? I readily admit to a recurrent problem of moving unpredictably between fiction and fact. But if Bo Diddley didn’t actually save my life on a trip to the land of the desert blues, then he sure as hell saved my ass. So here’s the real story…

September 3rd, 2008 1:43 pm
Jimmy Buffett made Vanity Fair’s list of the world’s 100 most powerful and influential people (”The New Establishment” - October 2008 issue). He comes in at number 97.
SPHERE OF INFLUENCE: In the past year, the hardest-working slacker in show business published his seventh book, Swine Not?, released a live-concert DVD, partnered in an Atlantic City casino, and continued the nonstop touring that keeps the margarita money flowing in—an estimated $35 million.
