Stopped by to say Hello

Just a short note to say Hello to all our members, and their Military Heros.

I just finished my housework, didn't take long, My idea of housework is to sweep the room with a glance. Would never pass inspection. (smile)

Hope all is well on the home front and also abroad. Take care,

God Bless America.

WE DID IT! 4150 LUMINARIAS

We wanted to save the bags. We worried about the rain. I told the woman that did the other half of the bags, "maybe that will be tears from heaven, and we are only supposed to do this once". It rained all night. But the 2 acres of glowing held up for hours. We badly needed that rain.
Many thanks and hugs for our efforts.

news

I saw on the news today where Condi Rice is in Iraq on a surprise visit. She plans on talking about a possible draw down of troops they said. Hopefully they will get a bunch of them home soon.

Hope all is well with you and your heros. Take care...

Oh....let's have some posts about your HERO and how they became military and why.I will start with my husband.

He joined back when the Air Force was the Army Air Force. He retired in the very late 60's I was fortunarte enough to have travelled all over Europe with him. He served during the Korea and the COLD WAR. The Cold War was the scariest as his plane was buzzed by Russian Migs many times over the Bering Sea when he waas on recon.

Let's hear from others...

Prayers Needed

This was sent to me, a Blue Star Mom. I am sending it on to you all.

To let you know right up front, you were hand picked by me, Jan, to receive this email because I truly believe you will do as I am asking. At one time or another, you have touched our family. I have talked to Bryson on the computer this evening and this family is in dire need of our prayers...for comfort, for wisdom, for strength. I have this family's permission to do this and ask you pass it on please to your friends who will join us in this prayer. Please, will you join me in holding this family up to our Lord now? I hope all of you are doing great. We are fine here in N. Ga. Thanks everyone, Jan Johnson

Friends - Please pray for us.

At 5:56 Thursday morning (Iraq time) my nephew David was severely injured while fueling a truck for their daily patrol. Few details have been given, but we know he was burned over 85% of his body. He arrived at Landstuhl Army Med Center in Germany today, at about 2pm CST. At around midnight CST they'll take him into surgery to for a tracheotomy to maintain his airway for the trip to Brooke Med Center in San Antonio. The team from TX has already left to accompany him back here, they plan to have him in S.A. Sunday.

Please pray for David and his family. Mom - Shannon, Dad - Gary, Brother - Justin. Pray that David has the will to fight for himself in the days to come. Pray that we will have the strength to carry him through the difficult time ahead. Pray that God is merciful and does not allow David to feel his pain.

I know the power of the Mom's and wives of our Texas service members. You ladies have a strong faith and share it openly. Please use some of that power now and get the state of Texas praying for their native son.

With Thanks,
Bryson
